Dorothy Baechler

Dorothy A. Baechler, 85, passed away August 29, 2010 in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Living Word Baptist Church, 456 Township Line Road, Poplar Bluff, Mo. with Pastor Donnie Emmons officiating.  Burial in the Mo. State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

She was born March 16, 1925 in Highland Park, Illinois.  She was a retired Bank Officer.  She loved playing cards and was an avid bridge player.

She was married Clarence Baechler in March 1948 in Highland Park, Ill.  He preceded her in death in August 1984.

She is survived  by one son Curtis Baechler of Poplar Bluff , one brother Ward Anderson of Stockdale, Texas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Frank Dobnikar, Sr.

Frank Paul Dobnikar, Sr., 66 of O’Fallon, Mo. passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at his home. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Bruce Underhill officiating.  Burial in the Gum Cemetery near Naylor, Missouri.

Mr. Dobnikar was born Aug. 8, 1944, in Naylor, Mo.  He formerly lived in Naylor and Poplar Bluff where he attended the West Side Church of God.  He was a salesman for Pitney Bowes and loved hunting and fishing.

On October 14, 1961, he married Carol Hudson at Naylor.  She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Frank Paul Dobnikar Jr. and his wife, Trisha of Kansas City, Mo. , and Roger Paul Dobnikar and his wife Martha of Birmingham, Alabama; two sister, Alice Boxx of St. Louis, Mo., and Mary Dobnikar of Florida; a brother, Junior Dobnikar of Florida; seven grandchildren, Anthony Michael and wife Erica, Matthew Michael, Quinton Dobnikar, Toby Parker, Paul Dobnikar, Carter Kreutziger and Kelsey Dobnikar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Dobnikar in 1995 and Ethel Sullivan Dobnikar in 1994; and a brother Calvin Dobnikar.

Dorothy Louise Eaker

Louise Eaker, passed away at her residence in Harviell on August 29, 2010. Her visitation will be Tuesday August 31, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. , in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel at Neelyville, Missouri. Graveside service on September 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kinsey cemetery. Mrs. Eaker was born October 14, 1921 to Joseph Cochran and Pearl “Clemons” Cochran.  On October 4, 1943 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri she was married to Linus Harvey”Jack” Eaker. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2008.

She is survived by: Her son Rodney L. Eaker of Neelyville, Mo. Grandsons, Rusty Eaker of Poplar Bluff and Shane Eaker of Neelyville, mo. Five great grand daughters also survive.

Frank Srstka

Frank Merrit Srstka, 83 , of Poplar Bluff passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Poplar Bluff Medical Center.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Poplar Bluff.  Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the Mo. Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri. 

 Mr. Srstka was born July 29, 1927, at Tyndall, South Dakota.  He formerly lived at Klamath Falls, Oregan.  He was of the Catholic Faith and was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.  He worked as an air conditioning and refrigeration technician. 

On May 4, 1952 , he was married to Nadine Hagan Srstka in California.  She preceded him in death on May 25, 2008.  He also was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Carol Strahle; his parents, Stephen L. Srstka and Emma Carda Srstka; and a brother, Stephen J. Srstka.

Surviving are a sister, Ione Deken and husband, Clemens, of Poplar Bluff;  step grandchildren Kevin Shea and Ernest Strechle; a special nephew, Steve Rueck and wife, Teresa of Williamsville and other nieces and nephews.

Emily Ruth Boulnois

Emily Ruth Boulnois, daughter of Joe Boulnois and Amy “Hayman” Boulnois, was born August 20, 2010 in the St. Alexius Medical Center at Bismark North Dakota. She departed this life on August 20, 2010. Visitation will be Sunday August 29, 2010 starting at 1:30 with the services following at 2:00 p.m. in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel at Neelyville, Mo. Burial will be at the Kinsey Cemetery near Harviell, Mo following service.

Emily is survived by, her parents, Joe and Amy Boulnois, Of Harviell, Mo. one sister, Esther Boulnois, Two Brothers, Jared and Joshua Boulnois all of the home. Her Grandparents, Tom and Marion Boulnois of Charleston, Missouri and Roger and Betty Hayman of Fairdealing, Missouri.

Nora Ann Byrd

Nora A. Byrd, 83, formerly of Naylor, Missouri, Passed away August 24. 2010 in the community Park View Nursing Home at Elwood, Indianan. Her visitation will be at Fowler-Sullivan  Memorial Chapel at Neelyville, Missouri Friday August 27, 2010 from 6-8 p.m.  with funeral following Sat. August 28, 2010  at 2:00 p.m. in Neelyville. Burial will be in Cypress  Creek Cemetery following the service. Mrs Byrd, was born March 28, 1927 in Hayti, Missouri to Arthur Hampton and Clara Rudd Hampton. On September 30, 1944 at Portageville, Mo. she was married to Walter Byrd. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1993.

She is survived by children, Barbara White, Ethel Lucille Sapp, Orval Gean Byrd, WAlter Lee Byrd, Raymond Louis Byrd, Larry Joe Burd, Glen Edward Byrd, Freddy Wayne Byrd, Kenneth Lynn Byrd, Calvin Ray Byrd, Leonard Eugene Byrd,Elvis Gerald Byrd. She was prededed in death by her parents and one son, Vernon Odell Byrd.

Ethel Ora Leroux

Ethel Ora Leroux, 86, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away August 17, 2010 in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar BLuff, Missouri. visitation will be august 20, 2010 in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel at Neelyville, Missouri. Services will follow at Neelyville, Sat. August 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev Hebert Payne Officiating. burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Doniphan, Missouri.

Mrs .Leroux was born April 21, 1924 at Hatton, Arkansas to James Riley Webb and Myrtle Ora Holt.  On January 29, 1942 In Oklahoma she was married to Charles Leroux. he preceeded her in death on June 7, 1986. She is survived by f ive daughters, Hazel Cross of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Sara Smith, Carol Haywood,  of  Doniphan.Myra Eastman of Brooksville, Florida  and Sharon Allen  of  Poplar Bluff, Mo. . Two Sons, Herman Leroux and Wilburn “Pete” Leroux of Doniphan also survive. Hubert Payne of Doniphan, Mo.  One sister, Cleo Scrogging Holdenville, Ok. and four brothers,  Preceded in death, Reese Webb, Houston Webb. Lyndsy Webb and William.

Annie Ludell Miller

AnnieLudell Miller, 83 of Campbell Hill, Illinois, passed away in the At. Ann’s Healthcare Center in Chester, Illinois. On August 16, 2010. Her visitation will be held at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Missouri Wed. August 18, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. with the funeral services held August 19,, 2010 at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel. Burial will in the  Coon Island Cemetery in Neelyville, Missouri.

On November 11, 1944 in Corning, Arkansas she was married to Herman Miller. he preceded her in dath on January 26, 1977.   arrMrs Miller is survived by nine children, Loretta Cotton, Jerry Miller, Rick Miller Deborah Skurat all of Campbell Hill, Illinois. Jenny Theilman of Ava, Ill, Shirley Ratka of Cahokia, Ill., John Miller of Chester, Ill. Robert Miller of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Janice Reid of Percy, Ill. for Sisters, Mary Ledbetter of Ditmer, Missouri, Rachel Buhler of Dupo, Ill., Roselie Adams of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Rua Barr of Tell City, Missouri. One brother, Johnny Price of Goshen, Ind.. 27 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren also survive. she was preceded in death by her parents .

William “Bill” Dillinger

William “Bill” Dillinger III, 53 of St.Louis, Missouri,  passed away at the St.Louis University Hospital in St Louis, Missouri on August 15, 2010. Bill’s Visitation will be Wednesday August 18, 2010 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday August 19, 2010 with the burial in the Kinsey Cemetery near Harviell. Bill was born December 29, 1956 in St.Louis, Missouri to William Dilllinger and Helen Hector Fuller. He is survived by,  His mother, One Son Nicolas William Dillinger of St.Louis, Missouri and one daughter, Melissa Dixon of  St Louis, Missouri. Two sisters: Kathy Wray of Texas and Chrissie Dillinger of Sikeston, Missouri, and  His beloved wife  Barbara.

Donna is survived by her husband Kenneth “Rick” Smith of Naylor, Missouri, Four Children, Stella Webb and husband Bryan of Oran, Missouri, Adam Hopkins and Wife Bethany of Naylor, Missouri,  Donna “P.J.” Davis and husband Dusty of Naylor, Missouri and Rickie S.M. Taylor and husband Parker of Wappapello, Missouri.
