Betty England Zehles

Betty England Zehles,Daughter of James Z. Marler and Emily Kieger Marler, was born April 30, 1929 at Granite City, Ill.. She departed this life on September 24, 2010 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was 81 years old.

On November 19, 1951 she was married to Floyd Alvin England. He departed this life on January 15, 1981. Then in June 1990 she was married to Gus Zehles. He preceded her in death in 1997.
she is survived by,sons, Floyd “Butch’ England , Ray England, and wife Patte, daughters, Donna Deckard and husband Ted, betty Sue Pratt and husband Charles and Emma Lee Kiefer and husband Kevin.3 brothers, Chester Ellis Marler , Donald Marler , Ivan Marler.
she is preceded in death by her parents as well as five sisters, Patsy Marler, Polly Mayberry, Dorothy Schmid, Chloteal Howard, and Carmel Marler. One brother Herbert Marler. Visitation will be Tuesday September 28, 2010 at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Missouri with services on September28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Bethany Cemetery, near Doniphan, Missouri.

Ethel Marie Tanner

Ethel Marie Tanner, passed away September 21, 2010 at her residence at Harviell, Missouri. He services were held September 26, 2010 at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Missouri starting at 1:00 p.m.. Officiating was Rev. Jimmy Gilbert. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Doniphan, Missouri after services.
She is survived by three sons,Harold Eubank, James O Eubank and Ossie R. Eubank.

Austin Lee Greear

Austin Lee Greear was stillborn on Thursday September 30, 2010 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. His visitation will be held Tuesday October 5, 2010 from 4-6 p.m. at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Missouri. A graveside service will be Wed. Morning October 6, 2010, at the Naylor, Memorial Cemetery in Naylor, Missouri.
He is survived by his parents, Brandin and Misty Greear of Naylor, Missouri. His grandmother, Karen Leroux of Naylor and great grandmother, Shirley McGee of Naylor and great grandfather H.J. Jones of Neelyville.

Howard Neil Flurry

Howard Neil Flurry, son of the late V.L. and Elizabeth Flurry, was born July 14, 1932, in Dardanelle, Arkansas, and passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010,at the age of 78.

Mr Flurry was a row crop and cattle farmer. He also owned and operated Flurry’s Fish Farm for many years. He enjoyed his animals, gardening and sitting at the Stateline Truck Stop drinking coffee visiting with all of his buddies. He was a member of Living Word Fellowship Church in Corning, Arkansas.

He married  Wanda Welch on June 21, 1950 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. She survives. He is also survived by three children and their families: Linda and husband, Gayland Arrington; Philip and wife, Margaret Flurry, all of Neelyville, Mo. and Lisa and husband, Ed Burke, of Van Buren, Mo. He is survived by six grandchildren : Lynn Arrington Derickson, Amy Arrington Hogan, Philip Flurry Jr., Crystal Flurry Gillespie, Danielle West Robertson and Dustin West: eight greatchildren: Alexandra, Caleb and Zimri Hogan, Cody Vowell, Christa Flurry, Ryan Gillespie, Addison Robertson, McKinley West, and five more on the way.

He was preceded in death by his sister, lavern parker: his borther, Jerry “Sonny Flurry; a grandson Matthew Arrington; one great granddaughter, Aubrey West.

Visitation will be at a6 p.m. today Monday October 4, 2010, at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Mo. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday . Rev Tony Monreal will officiate with Rev Jerry Chaney assisting. Interment will be in the Roberts Cemetery of Neelyville.

James Jackson

James Earl Jackson, 80, of Wappapello, passed away Sunday October 3, 2010 at his home.  Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Wed. Oct. 6, 2010 followed by funeral services at 12 noon at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, Mo.  Burial in Black Creek Cemetery. 

Mr. Jackson was born September 23, 1930, and formerly resided in  St. Louis.  He was a  retired Stone Mason and was a member of the Church of Christ.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting. 

On January 25, 1995, he was married to Mary Young Jackson, in Poplar Bluff.  She survives.

Also surviving are children Shelly Kunkel, St. Louis; Terry Jackson, Florida, Debbie Johnson, Pevely, Mo.; Lisa Page, Wappapello, Debbie Jones, Wappepello.  Four sisters, Flora Rice, Waterloo, Ill.; Lois Plunk, Harviell. Alice Winter, Washington, Mo.; two brothers Jerry Jackson, Doniphan, and Dean Jackson, Doniphan. 

Eight grandchildren  and nine great-grandchildren survive.

Phyllis Holden Lively

Phyllis Holden Lively,57, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Saturday, Oct.2, 2010. Born July 13, 1953 in St. Charles, Illinois, and a former resident of Rochelle, Ill.  She was a CNA and enjoyed playing Bingo, sewing, and being with her grandkids. 

Ms. Lively is survived by her children, Christina Barrett of Rochelle, Ill,. Lisa Bishop and husband Shane of Poplar Bluff; and Bobby Lively Jr. of Watohoma, Wisconsin, and her mother, Darlene Marie “Jenkins” Holden also survive.   Also surviving are one sister, Tina Kearbey of Poplar Bluff, brothers Nathan Holden and wife Donna, Poplar Bluff, Michael Owen Holden, Vermont; Buddy Kearbey and wife Teri of Poplar Bluff; Joe Kearbey and wife Deliah of Poplar Bluff.

Thirteen grandchildren, Nathan Estes, wife Faith of Lacross, Wisc.; Kelli Person and husband Jeremy, Roshelle, Ill. ; Michael -Paul Estes, wife Alicia, Roshelle, Ill.; Miranda Doty and Kyle Doty of Sycamore, Ill.; Haley Bishop, Amy Mancinas, Aaron Bishop, Alexis Bishop, Abella Bishop all of Poplar Bluff;  Bobby Lively III, Ethan Lively and Joshua Lively, Wisconsin.  Three great-grandchildren: Layla Person, Roshelle, Ill., Adrian Estes, Wisconsin, Timothy Person, Roshelle,Ill.           

Her father, Nathan Herman Holden preceded her in death.

A private family memorial  to be held in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
