Margaret Marie Wallace

Margaret Marie Wallace, 55, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wed. at Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church of God followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. with Bishop Ron Webb officiating.  Burial in the City Cemetery.

Mrs. Wallace was born on August 7, 1955, in Poplar Bluff.  She was a lifetime resident of Butler County.  She attended Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church of God.  She had worked at factories in Poplar Bluff and as a nurse.  She enjoyed singing in church and doing church work.

On November 7, 1983, she married James Henry Wallace at Poplar Bluff.  He preceded her in death June 10, 2008.

Survivors include fourchildren, Jerome Webb, Sheila Wallace and Carlos Wallace, all of Poplar Bluff, and James Earl of St. Louis; four sisters, Mae Valley of St. Louis and Jewell Jones, JoaAnn Webb and Mary Ann Peters, all of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Wardell Webb Jr. of Poplar BLuff and five grandchildren, Jalacia Mallett, Cara Dartello, Jerome Webb Jr., Detrayuous Wallace Jones and Diamound Weaver.

She was preceded in death  by one daughter, Sonya Webb, and her parents, Wardell Webb Sr. and Lilly B. Webb.

Nancy Carolyn Taylor

Nancy Carolyn Taylor, 66 of Poplar Bluff passed away February 24, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  Visitation will begin at 6PM Sunday February 27, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.  Funeral services will be at 10AM Monday at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home with Ron Fowler officiating.  Burial will be at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.

Nancy was born December 20, 1944 in Hattiesville, Arkansas to the late Mitchel Mooney and Edna Patterson Shook.  She was of the Assembly of God belief.  She was a homemaker and loved watching cooking programs and being with her children and grandchildren.  She is married to Raymond Taylor of Poplar Bluff and he survives.  Also surviving are four sons; George Morley of Poplar Bluff, Chris Morley of Poplar Bluff, Raymond Simmons and wife Kim of Poplar Bluff and Mark Simmons and wife Jennifer of Poplar Bluff.  One sister; Brenda Hart of Poplar Bluff and three grandchildren; Amber Simmons, Jacob and Joshua Simmons.

She was preceded in death by a son; John Morley and a sister Joyce Durivag.

Zoey Slagle

Zoey Slagle, 4, of Poplar Bluff, went to live with Jesus Friday, February 18, 2011.  She is now cradled in the arms of Jesus.

Zoey was born January 16, 2007 in Poplar Bluff.  She is survived by her parents; Adam and Jennifer Thrower; her grandparents; Gary and Melinda Slagle, Debie Thrower and Larry Moore; great granparents Betty Slagle and Cahrlie Kiersch, Arthur Brown, Al and Mary Kearby, William and Doris Smith.  Aunts and Uncles; Jerry and Heather Slagle, Michael Thrower, Scott and Krista Russell.  Cousins Aden, Jerry Jr and Amanda Slagle, D.J. Scakacsi and Marissa Russell.  Great aunts and uncles:  Brad Slagle, Patty and Dennis Scakacsi, Denny and Brenda Long.

Family requests to contact them for funeral arrangements. Funeral will be at 11AM Wednesday the 23rd at Fowler-Sullivan in Poplar Bluff.  Burial will be in Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.  Rev. Jerry Moore will officiate.

Nancie Lee Manes

Nancie Lee Manes, 66, of Bernie, Mo. passed away Saturday February 12,2011.  Memorial services will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Independence Missionary Baptist Church, CR 272, Neelyville, Mo. 

Mrs. Manes was born September 23. 1944 in Chicago, Illinois.  She was a former resident of Oregan and of the Catholic faith.  She retired as a cook from General  Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.  She loved working in her yard, playing bingo, crossword puzzles, being with her children and grand children. 

On December 29, 1986 she married Herbert Manes in Bernie, Mo. He survives. 

Also surviving are children, Kelly St. Lawrence and husband Dan, Poplar Bluff, Phillip Foster Jr. and wife Debbie of Kentucky, Charles Foster and wife Lorraine, Seattle, Washington, Cathy Leininger and husband Jean, of Eager, Arizona, Jack Manes and wife Nora of Malden, and Kevin Manes of Malden, Mo.; grandchildren Joshua Foster, Tracy Manes, Roman Foster, Jessica Foster, Jamie Foster, Elizabeth Leininger, Christina Booth, Jason Leininger and numberous step-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray Watters and Charlotte “Radosevich” Watters and one daughter Kimberly Hubbard.

Odell Parrow

Odell Parrow, 63, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011  followed by funeral services at 1 p.m., at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo.  Burial in Catron Cemetery in New Madrid County, Mo.  with  Ron Fowler officiating.

On March 14, 1986 he was married to Alberta “Watson” Parrow, she survives.  He is also survived by one brother Charles Whitmore of St. Louis.

Mr. Parrow was preceded in death by his father Willie Parrow and his mother Leola “Whitmore” Parrow.

Tammy “Eldridge” Johnson

Tammy “Eldridge” Johnson, 46, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday Feb. 7, 2011, at home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. 

Mrs. Johnson was born September 11, 1964 in Houston, Texas.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, traveling, animals and being with her children.  She  previously lived in Wentzville, Mo.

Survivors include three children, Crystal Eldridge Logan and Jordan Eldridge Worden, both of Poplar Bluff, and Josiah Robert Johnson of California; her parents, Robert Eldridge of Brenham, Texas, and Sammie “Gross” Frederick of Poplar Bluff, and two brothers, Robbie Eldridge of Brenham, Texas and Stephen Frederick of Poplar Bluff.

William Yeley

William F. Yeley, 55, of Poplar Bluff passed from this life Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.   A funeral ceremony will be at 5pm Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness 500 Hwy NN in Poplar Bluff.  Jearl Griffin will officiate.  Doors will open at 4pm

William was born March 13, 1955 in Poplar Bluff.  He was a loyal employee of Gates Rubber for 24 yrs.  where he made many good friends.  He loved playing with his four granddaughters and riding his motorcycle.  He was a wonderful husband, grandpa, son and brother.  On July 4, 1976 he was married to Jean A. Werfelman.  She survives. 

Also surviving is a son; Adam Yeley and wife Jessica; daughter; Julia Mitchell and husband Nathan; four granddaughters; Katelyn and Alexis Yeley, Natalia and Aaliyah Mitchell all of Poplar Bluff.  His mother Christine Cartrette and husband David; six brothers, Gus Yeley of Poplar Bluff, Leo Yeley of California, J.D. Yeley of Illinois, Rusty Cartrette of North Carolina; Jerry Wayne Cartrette of Potosi, MO  and Henrietta Voigt of North Carolina. 

He was preceded in death by his parents/grandparents Huie and Archie Yeley.

Ron Gallamore

Ronald  “Ron” Gallamore, 62, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away January 31, 2011at his home.  Visitation will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, (9th & Cedar), Poplar Bluff, Mo.  Burial in the Nunn Cemetery with Fred Birdsong officiating. 

Ron was born on February 1, 1948  in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  He was a member of Agee Community Church.  On December 6, 1971 he married the love of his life Jacqueline (Jackie) Leckie.  She survives.  Ron has five children Tanya Scott and her husband Larry Scott of Brosley, Ida Malson and her husband Bryan Malson, Ronald Gallamore Jr.  and his wife Sherry Gallamore, Cheryl Gulley and her husband Allen Gulley,  Roberta Hollis and her husband Brian Hollis all of Poplar Bluff.  Ron has 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Ron has three brothers; James Gallamore, David Gallamore, and Steve Gallamore all of Poplar Bluff; four sisters; Carolyn Malson of Poplar Bluff, Phyllis Newton of Qulin, Glenda Taylor of Snowflake, Arizona and Karen Schmid of The Woodlands, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and RubyGallamore.

Ron graduated from Mount Whitney High in Visalia, California and attended college at College of the Sequioas, also in Visalia, California.

Ron owned his own drywall business for 35 yeras.  Due to the long battle of melanoma cancer,  Ron retired in 2007.  The most important things to Ron were his family and church.  Ron dedicated his life to the Lord.

Ron enjoyed traveling and two of his favorite destinations were the Smokey Mountains and Branson.  He enjoyed going in caves and seeing natural wonders.  Ron loved playing his guitar and writing/recording songs and in 2008 he wrote a gospel song “Grace of God”.
