Charles David Allsbrooks

Charles David Allsbrooks, 61, of Poplar Bluff, died April 28, 2011 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center.  A memorial service will be at a later date in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. 

Mr. Allsbrooks was born July 17, 1949 in Ft. Worth , TX  He was of the baptist faith.  He served in the Army during Vietnam.  He was a roofer and he enjoyed fishing, baseball and bowling. 

In 1969 he married Patricia Ann Mosley and she prceded him in death July 3, 2000

He is survived by his children;  Tonya Loyd, Ft. Worth, TX; Trina Allsbrooks, Ft. Worth, TX; Christy Zuniga; Ft. Worth, TX ; Larry Allsbrooks; Ft. Worth, TX; Brenda Allsbrooks, Ft. Worth, TX, Pamela Jaco of Poplar Bluff and Charles David Allsbrooks Jr. of Arkansas; one brother Ray Allsbrooks of Ft. Worth, TX; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren

LEE ROY WINDER

Lee Roy Winder, 72 of Poplar Bluff passed away April 26, 2011 at his daughter’s home in Poplar Bluff, due to him being evacuated from his home because of the flood waters.  Visitation will be from 4-6PM Thurs. 28th at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar St.  Poplar Bluff.  Funeral service will follow at 6PM in chapel with Rev. Shelvie Stephens officiating. 

Mr. Winder was born Aug. 8, 1938 in Huntington Beach Ca  to the late Clifton Winder and Goldie Hast-Winder.  He was a member of Calvary Community Church and of the Eagles in Poplar Bluff.  He was a retired over the road truck driver and enjoyed playing dominoes, doing word searches, barbecuing and family time.  On March 16, 1968 he married Joyce Clark in Poplar Bluff and she survives.

Also surviving are his children; Pamela Phillips of California; Robin Martin (Bob) O’Fallon; Tracy Clark-Winder P.B.; James Winder (Donna) Qulin; Lori Townsend (Kevin) P.B.; Michelle Elder (Jack) Naylor  13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and five sisters; Lovetta Burkett, Oglesville; Mae Foura, Michigan; Edith Helsel, P.B.; Fay Faughn, P.B.; and Dorothy Loughlin, Qulin.  Also surviving is his mother-in-law Martha Clark.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Virginia Gower; and two brothers; James and William Winder

TONY MARVIN ROUSE SR.

Tony Rouse Sr. 63, of Fisk passed away April 24, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar St. Poplar Bluff, MO  3-6PM  The family will have a burial 3PM Monday, May2, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, MO

Mr. Rouse was born March 18, 1948 in Jiles County, TN  He was in the Army and was an auto mechanic.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, barbecuing out of the back of his truck and spending time with his children.

On Oct. 17, 1998 he married Joanne Walker-Rouse and she survives.  Also surviving are his children: Tony and Gina Rouse of P.B.; Tina Taylor andDavid Burnett of Malden; Tommy and Christina Rouse of Dexter; Lisa and Wayne Wright of Fisk; Crystal Walker of Leechville, Arkansas; Edward Rouse of Fisk; Wendy and Chris Huskey of Blytheville; Eric and Mykyla Rouse of Paragould; and Wayne Taylor of Cardwell;  2 Sisters; Shirley Smith and Elizabeth Blanton; 2 brothers; Michael Rouse and Leon Summerlott; 28 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren

James Davidson Sr.

James Davidson Sr., 80 of Poplar Bluff passed away Monday April 18, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  Visitation will begin at 6PM Wednesday April 20, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar St.  Poplar Bluff.  The funeral will be at 11AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO

Mr. Davidson was born Oct. 5, 1930 in Lilbourn, MO  He had lived in Poplar Bluff for about 50 years.  He served in the National Guard and was a retired deputy sheriff in Butler and Wayne Counties.  He enjoyed playing cards, camping, fishing and bingo. 

On June 16, 1990 he married Nancy Ann Rice in Poplar Bluff, she survives.  He previously was married to Vonda Lee Mattison.  She preceded him in death in 1987. 

Also surviving are his children: Linda Gail DeNouden and husband James of Las Vegas, Gary Davidson and wife Terry of Neelyville, James Edward Davidson Jr. and wife Brenda and Randy Allen Davidson and wife Pam all of Poplar Bluff; Randy Allen Darlin and Angela Marie Whitmer and husband Les all of St. Charles; one sister Monnetta Pavlich of Las Vegas.  Two brothers;  Larry Burns of Galveston, TX and Bill Burns of TX  Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was precded in death by his parents Closis Davidson and Hazel Gilbert Davidson; one sister and two brothers.

Florence Ellen Bacon

Florence Ellen Bacon passed away April 11, 2011, at the age of 85.

She was born August 5, 1925 in Ellsinore, Mo. to parents, Charles Greensfelder and Delia “Ambrose” Greensfelder.  She was married to Francis Gene Bacon in St. Petersburg, Florida. Surviving is one son Larry Bacon of Williamsville, Missouri.

She was an accomplished artist and also loved wood carving.  She was a sound Tech for recordings and attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 60 years. Florence was a member of St. Francis DeSales for 25 years and retired from Gates Rubber Co.

Ms. Bacon is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.    

Visitation at 9 a.m., Wednesday April 13, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, Mo. followed by  Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiated by Father David Coon.  Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Nicholas Ryan Wicks

Nicholas Ryan Wicks, son of David Wicks and Cynthia Dicken Wicks, was born June 21, 1985 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He departed this life on April 4, 2011 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.   He is survived by his Mother, Cynthia Wicks of Harviell, Missouri and Grandmother, Carolyn Dicken of Harviell, Missouri. Also surviving are two cousins Brody and Heath Ferguson as well as 1 aunt and uncle Julie and Bud Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his father David Wicks.  He enjoyed hunting, 4 wheeling riding and driving 18 wheeler Trucks.  He enjoyed Trucking.  Nicholas was a member of the New Covenant Fellowship Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. His visitation will be held Friday April 8, 2011 starting at 6:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 9, 2011 with burial in the Dicken Cemetery following services. Rev Jerry Moore will officiate.

Ozell Johnson

Ozell Johnson, daughter of James Martin Pierce and Claudia Elizabeth Carr Pierce was born December 30, 1921 in Detroit, Alabama. She departed this life on April 4, 2011 at her residence in Neelyville, Missouri. On February 12, 1938 she was married to Harold Johnson. He departed this life on October 22, 1980.  She is survived by One Son, C.P. Johnson of Neelyville, Missouri and one Daughter, Pat Boone of Naylor, Missouri. Nine granddaughters and 20 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren also survive.Two Sisters,  Rose Lee Landers of Naylor, Missouri and Ola Dean Hublick of  Harrison, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her husband and  parents as well as two sisters and four brothers. Ozell was member of the Coon Island General Baptist Church and the Eastern Star of Poplar Bluff. She enjoyed her nursing work,  and yard work .  Visitation will be held Wednesday April 6, 2011 in Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel at Neelyville, Missouri starting at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. also in the Chapel. Rev. Allen Leutert  and Parker Williams will be officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff following the Services.
