Kenneth Baker

Kenneth Ray Baker passed away June 24, 2011 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff, Mo., at the age of 43.  Visitation will be at 11 a.m., Thursday June 30, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, MO., followed by  Graveside Service at 12 noon in the Marble Hill Cemetry, off Barron Road, Poplar Bluff.  Rev. Lester Galibreath officiating. 

Mr. Baker was born August 22, 1967 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and had formerly lived in Colorado.  He was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church, Poplar Bluff, Mo.   He had worked as a washing machine tech and a laundry mat attendant. Kenneth enjoyed collecting police cars, motorcycles, and singing gospel music.

 On July 4, 1998 he married Tina (Stracener) Baker.  She survives.  Also surviving are children Joseph Stracener and Faith Baker of the home and his mother, Edna (Bennett) Baker of Poplar Bluff.

Randall DeWayne Tilley

Randall DeWayne Tilley passed away June 26, 2011 at the Poplar Bluff Medical Center, at the age of 46.  Visitation will be from 6  p.m.til 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in the chapel with Bishop Ostreicher officiating.  Burial in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Williamsville, Mo.

Mr. Tilley was born June 9, 1965 in Poplar Bluff, Mo.  He was a life time resident of Butler County and worked as a security officer for Crawford Security.  He enjoyed guns, working on cars and dumpster diving.  He also loved being with people.  Mr. Tilley attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 

On February 14, 2009 he married Deborah “LaBarre” Tilley,  in Poplar Bluff.  She survives. Also surviving are one son Christoffer Weber; his mother Flora “Daily” Tilley of Poplar Bluff, two sisters Vicki Lynn Lolley of Prairieville, La., and Lisa Jane Risinger of Springfield, Mo.; two brothers Donald Gene Tilley, Poplar Bluff, Ronald Dean Tilley, Florence, SC; (Cousin) Skip Tilley, Hornersville, Mo.;  four grandchildren; Jayden Marie Johnson, Crawfordville, Ark., Athena Anderson, St. Paul Minn., Tristan LaBarre, Poplar Bluff, Alysia LaBarre, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great nephews also survive.

He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Mark Tilley and Uncles Lee Tilley and Cleo Tilley.

The family wishes to thank all his friends at the U.S. Marshalls office.

Larry “Mutt” D. Foulk

Larry “Mutt” Douglas Foulk, 64 of Oxly, Missouri passed away June 18, 2011 in the Barnes Jewish Hospital at St.Louis, Missouri. He was born November 10, 1947 in Oxly, Missouri, to Amos Foulk and Daisey Wilson Foulk.  He enjoyed playing bluegrass music, and hunting. Larry is survived by His children, Jason Foulk and wife Paula of Big Timber, Montana and Many Foulk of  Livingston, Montana. Sisters, Ruth Gallion Casteel of Doniphan, Missouri and Linda Trout of Brosley, Missouri. Brothers, Henry Foulk o f Doniphan and Ronnie Foulk of Broseley. Six Grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents one sister, Marlyn Foulk and one brother James Foulk.  Visitation will start Friday morning June 24, 2011 at 9:00 till 10:00 a.m.. with a graveside service starting at 10:30 Friday in the Martin cemetery near Oxly, Missouri.

RONALD PORCH

Ronald Porch, 63, of Poplar Bluff, took his journey home with the Lord,  on June 22, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, after a long battle with cancer.  Funeral service will be at 3PM Saturday June 25, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar St.  Poplar Bluff, MO with Rev. Everett Gunter officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens.

Ronald was born December 23, 1947 in Poplar Bluff.  He was a lifelong resident of Poplar Bluff, MO  He was a retired bushhogg operator. He loved to spend time hunting, fishing and with his family and friends. 

Surviving are his wife; Ruby Porch; children: Shaun Porch, Rhonda Porch, Christina Maples, April Berry, Gary McCabe, Steven McCabe, Bryan McCabe, Lisa Porch, and Kelly Porch; all of the surrounding area; one sister; Patricia Modglin; his special friends Danny Beck, Leon Summerlot and loving mother-in-law Liddie Wilkerson; and many grandchildren.  He was very much loved and will be greatly missed. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; Jessie and Mildred Porch; a son; Kevin Porch; a brother; Vernon Porch, and a sister; Vernetta Porch

Martha Sue Agner

Martha Sue Agner passed away June 21, 2011 at the Saint Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, Mo, at the age of 63.

Visitation for Ms. Agner will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo.  The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m.  Bro. Nathan Kirkley officiating and burial in Liberty Cemetery in Butler County.

Ms. Agner was born June 17, 1949  at Poplar Bluff, Mo.  to parents Leo Silvester Hammon and Lila Jean “Ward” Hammon.  Both preceded her in death.

She was a lifetime resident of Butler County and was a homemaker.  On December 3, 1966 she married John Agner in Poplar Bluff.  He preceded her in death October 22, 2008. 

She enjoyed bowling, bingo, and spending time with her family.  She attended Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include  a daughter La Jeana Sue Agner and  son, Johnny Agner, both of Poplar Bluff.

Paul Leroy Weitzel

Paul Leroy Weitzel passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the age of 80. A graveside service with full Military Rites will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with Pastor Kevin McAnulty officiating.

Mr. Weitzel was born Septermber 9, 1930, at Desloge, Mo, to parents Henry Weitzel and Golda “Shannon” Weitzel.  Both preceded him in death. He was of the Christian faith.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Koren Conflict and Vietnam War.  He retired in 1970 after 23 years of service.  He moved to Butler County and served  as a Poplar Bluff Police Officer from 1971 to 1993, before retiring a second time.

He enjoyed yard work, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and being with his children and grandchildren. 

He was married to Jean Rosener and later to Edna May Keel.  He was most recently married to Hattie Lee Riddle. She preceded him in death.

Surviving are four children, Ted Weitzel of Portland, Oregan, Paula Navarre of Vancouver, Washington. Kathy Lancing of Pea Ridge, Ark. and Bruce Weitzel of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Lamers.

Kathryn Marie “Parrent” Warren

Kathryn Marie Warren, Daughter of Gene Parrent and Imogene “Pritchard”  Parrent was born January 18, 1956 at Doniphan, Missouri. She departed this life on June 17, 2011 at her residence in Fairdealing, Missouri. On March 15, 1997 at Doniphan, Missouri Kathryn was married to Ronald A. Warren. He survives. Also surviving , her father Gene Parrent of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, One brother Ron Parrent of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and her sister Judy Wilcutt of Jackson, Missouri. Kathryn was preceded in death by her Mother Imogene Parrent. She was a retired Social Worker with the Sears Youth Center.  She enjoyed Sewing and reading her Bible. There will a memorial service June 25, 2011 from 9:00 am till 12:00 p.m.. at His Place Church at Doniphan, Missouri.

Jarrel Evans Williams

Jarrel Evans Williams, son of Freddie Williams Sr. and Joyce Ann McCombs Williams was born January 28, 1980 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He passed away June 14, 2011 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center at Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  He is survived by his children, Jarrica and Jaylyn Williams both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and one son, Landon Williams of Doniphan, Missouri. His mother Joyce Williams of Neelyville, Missouri. Sisters, Renea Smith, Mary Williams Tabatha Williams Irish Williams all of Neelyville, Missouri and Charlotte Ballard of Springfield, Mo. His bothers, Freddie Williams Jr. and Mark Williams and Cody Williams all of Neelyville, Mo. and Gary Williams of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  He is preceded in death by father Freddie Williams Sr. and one brother Tony Williams. visitation for Jarrell will be held Saturday June 18, 2011 starting at 10:00 am with the funeral starting at 12:00 p.m.. burial will be in the Neelyville Cemetery with Pastor Scott Sifford and Rev. Henry and Christine Grandberry officiating.

Doyle Junior Silkwood

Doyle Junior Silkwood, son of Carl and Omah Silkwood passed away June 13, 2011 in the John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center at Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was born June 11, 1950 at Coon Island Missouri. On January 23, 1970 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri he was was married to Sherry Johnson. She survives. Also surviving, one daughter Holly Walter of Naylor and Shannon Doyle Silkwood of Harviell.  Five grandchildren and 2 great grand children also survive.  Her sisters, Carlena Silkwood Martin of Poplar BLuff, Sylvia Silkwood of California, Bernice Silman and Elda Silkwood of Naylor and Carolyn Silkwood Evola. Brothers, Clye Silkwood of Naylor and Jerry Silkwood of Piedmont and Charles Silkwood of Oxly, Missouri. Visitation for Mr. Silkwood will be Thursday June16, 2011 at the Fowler-Sullivan memorial Chapel in Neelyville, missouri. Sevices will be June 17, 2011 at 11:00 am with Chaplain Bill Hatch officiating. Burial will be in the Coon Island Cemetery near Neelyville, Missouri.

Imogene Nesbit

Imogene Nesbit,  of St. Louis, Missouri passed away June 6, 2011 at her residence. She was born November 30, 1922 in Ripley County, Missouri to Herb McCarty and Vina Richmond McCarty. she is survived by children, Tom Nesbit of St.louis, Missouri and Anita Crossen and Donny Nesbit of Arnold, Missouri.  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as one sister Arleta Palmer and one brother Lydal McCarty.  Services for Mrs. Nesbit will be Tuesday June 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., with burial int the Naylor  Memorial Cemetery. Steve Sanders officiating.
