CARL WESLEY FELTS

Carl Wesley Felts, 76 of Harviell entered into Heaven Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his residence.  Visitation will be 6-9PM Tuesday August 9, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar St.  Poplar Bluff.  Funeral services will be at 11AM Wednesday, the 10th at Temple Baptist Church, 1813 Barron Road, Poplar Bluff.  Rev. Steve Patterson officiating and burial will be in Memorial Gardens.

Carl was born July 9, 1935 in Harviell, MO  He had formerly lived in St. Louis, Mo  He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.  He retired from General Motors in 1987, after 31 years of service.  He then became a self-employed carpenter.  Fourteen years ago he moved to Poplar Bluff, where he built his retirement home.  He and his wife were licensed pilots and scuba divers.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating on the current river, working in the yard and taking care of his wife. 

September 5, 1959 he married Helen Wilson-Felts in Poplar Bluff.  She survives.  Also surviving are four sisters; Ruth Tolleson (Earl), Nashville, TN; Mary Silkwood (Ed), Poplar Bluff; auneita Keller (Duane), Bonne Terre; Jane McGuire (Sonny), Montgomery City, MO; and special relatives and caregivers; Donny and Linda Emmons; Fairdealing; and many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. 

Carl was preceded in death by his parents Winfred and Beulah Felts and brother Donald Felts.

Rebecca Lynn Beston

Rebecca Lynn Beston passed away Saturday, July 30. 2011 at Poplar Bluff, Mo. Rebecca was born September 30, 1976 at Oran Mo.  She was a life time resident of Poplar Bluff, Mo.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, fishing, writing poetry and loved animals.

On Febrary 14, 2003 she was married to Christopher Beston, he survives. Also surviving are her children; Darion Kinder, Bryce Beston, C.J. Beston and Saphira Beston of the home; her father Ed Kinder of Halls, Tennessee and mother Linda (Piper) Null of Poplar Bluff, Mo., three sisters; Michelle Kinder, Poplar Bluff, Valerie Hiles, Mandoro, Wisconsin and Heather Rice, Rolla, Mo.; grandmothers  Hazel Kinder of Poplar Bluff and Margaret Piper of Brighton, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Vernon Kinder and Charles Piper.    

Burial in the City Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Johnnie Virgle Brake

Johnnie Virgle  Brake, 96 of Neelyville, Missouri, passed away July 31,2011 in the WestWood Hills Healthcare in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Virgle was born September 2, 1914 in Harviell, Missouri to Thomas H. Brake and Nancy C. “Miller” Brake. He is survived by; Daughter, Rose Ann Newcomb and husband Bob of Harviell, Mo. and Son; Robert Brake and wife Thelma of Bonneterre, Missouri.  On March 8, 1938,  He was married to Helen Dollins  at Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She preceded him death on February 23, 1989.  He was member of the Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church since 1966. He enjoyed watching Cardinal Baseball, Gardening and deer hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife as well as one Great Great Granddaughter, Elena Bub. Three sisters, Sarah Summers, Rosa Hicks and Mary Sue Coonrod. and one brother Carl Brake. Visitation for Mr. Brake will be Thursday August 4, 2011 in the Fowler-Sullivan Memoiral  Chapel in Neelyville  starting at 6:oo p.m. Funeral will b e August 5, 2011 in the funeral chapel starting at 2:00 p.m. with burial in the Roberts Cemetery following services. Rev. Terry Sharpe officiating.

Robin Joy Freeman

Robin Joy Freeman, 54, of  Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away July 29, 2011 in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center at Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  She was born February 8, 1957 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Leonard Eugene Freeman Sr and June Louise Sneathern Freeman.  She is survived by husband Dennis Richmond,   Her children, Jim Freeman  of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Kristy McElhaney and husband Greg of Naylor, Mo, Patrick Freeman of Poplar Bluff , Mo. . Stepchildren Danny Richmond and Angela Piearce both of Ellisnore, Mo.   Four sisters, Janet Maddux, Patricia Mayfield, Rosemary Cochran and Billy Jo Koonce. Three Brothers, Tim Freeman Sr., Leonard Freeman Jr. and Elvis Edgar Freeman. Nine grandchildren, Holly, Tiffany, Dakota, Dillion, Riley, Shelby, Ethan, Eric, Samantha. Two great grandchildren Dawson and Marina.  Robin was preceded in death by her mother as well as one brother, Tom Freeman. she in enjoyed Fishing, Camping, Riding the 4 wheeler, Hunting and farm work. She was a member of the Fellowship Southern Baptist Church in Harviell.

Visitation for Robin will be August 1, 2011 in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel at Neelyville, Missouri,  beginning at 6 pm with funeral Wednesday August 3, 2011  at 10:00 am in the Kerns Chapel Church near Stringtown.  Burial will be in the Freeman cemetery following services. Rev. Tim Freeman officiating
