Sally Mae (England) Hart passed away Friday, December 30, 2011, at her home.  She was 68. 

Mrs. Hart was born October, 4, 1943 in Cario, Illinois to parents, Jess and Nellie (Hathaway) England.  She was a lifetime resident of Butler County and a member of the Stringtown Baptist Church.  She was owner/operator of Hart’s Catfish Restaurant.  She enjoyed reading, painting, drawing, cooking and her pet dogs. 

On June 24, 1961 she was married to Gene Hart, in Poplar Bluff.  He survives.  Other survivors include her children, Tina Daughhetee and Fiance’, Shane; Shelly Goff and husband, Bob; Rachel Smith and husband, Brian and a foster son, Doug Fleigle and wife, Beth, all of Poplar Bluff; her brothers, George England, Fenton, Mo. and  Donald England of Titusville, Florida; her best friend, Bonnie Medley and husband, Luther of Poplar Bluff;  9 grandchildren; Danielle Harris, Ashley Hill, Jesse Daughhetee, Josh Kidd, Avery Schiller, Trevor Goff, Tarah Goff, Laura Goff, and Catie Smith; and 4 great-grandchildren.   

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Nellie England; 3 sisters, Sherry England, Babara Maddux and Shirley Knuckles.

Visitation for Mrs. Hart will be at 5 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. The funeral service will be  at  1 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in the funeral home chapel.  Burial in the Kinsey Cemetery.

Aubrey  Christie, 83,  went to Heaven Friday, December 30, 2011 at his residence in Poplar Bluff, with family and friends beside him.  Visitation will be 6-8PM Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Living Word Baptist  Church 456 Township Line Road, Poplar Bluff.  The funeral will be held 10AM Monday, January 2, 2012 at Living Word Baptist Church with the Rev. Donny Emmons officiating.  Burial will be at a later time in Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Christie was born March 25, 1928, in Poplar Bluff, to the late Herschel Christie and Mattie Marler-Christie.  He was a 52 year resident of Poplar Bluff and had formerly lived in Qulin, MO  He was a purchasing agent, retired from M&A Electric.  He served in the Marines from 1946-1952 during Korean War.  He enjoyed trail riding and  quail hunting. He was a published writer, a sunday school teacher,and  headed Haven House trail rides for several years. He was a charter member of Living Word Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.  He served as Treasurer and worked with the deaf ministry there.  He was a member of the Cardiac Cowboys, VFW, SEMO Quail Hunters, and N.E. Arkansas Quail Hunters. 

Aug 5, 1961 he married Ina Garner-Christie in Poplar Bluff; she survives.  Also surviving are his children: Karen Zarky and husband Art of Camdenton, MO; Debbie Christie of Springfield, MO and Judy Christie Seawel and husband Brent of Poplar Bluff. Two brothers: Peter Christie and Herschel Christie III both of Eloy, AZ and Grandchildren: Brian Jones of Springfield, Mo; Karen Sue  Heembrock and husband David of St. Louis; Angie Taylor of Springfield, MO; Jaybe Knauss of Memphis, TN; William Roach of Memphis, TN; Christie Browne and husband Richard of Springfield, MO; Carrie Stone of Springfield, MO; Dan Seawel and wife Julie of Clever, MO and Sarah McAnulty and husband Nathan of Poplar Bluff.  Great Grandchildren: Kara, Robert and Katie Heembrock, Mairin and Collin Knauss, Emmaleigh Stone, Carson, Avery, and Richie Browne; Ailee, Olivia  and Ben Seawel.

He was preceded in death by a daughter: Carolann Christie Jones two sisters: Mable Withrow and Vivian Pleasant, and  brothers: Clyde Christie, Carl Christie, and Don Christie.

Aileen Summers, 81, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, December 30, 201, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  Visitation will begin 6 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar Street Poplar Bluff.  Funeral will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bob Fry officiating.  Burial to follow in the City Cemetery.

Mrs. Summers was born Oct. 26, 1930 in Steele, Mo., to the late H.L. Easley and Lucille ( Holland) Easley.  She lived most of her life in Butler County.  She was a member of Poplar Bluff Full Gospel Fellowship Church.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  On October 8, 1948, she was married to Bill Summers.  He preceded her in death on May 3, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sharon Hefner.

Surviving are her children; Bob Summers and fiance’ Karla Ward, and Joe Summers and wife Lori, all of Fisk; Wayne Summers and wife, Melodie and Terry Summers all of Poplar Bluff.  Three sisters; Margie Armes of Poplar Bluff, Ruth James of Jonesboro, and Carolyn Muller of Barnhart, Mo.; one brother, Ray Easley of Qulin, Mo; Six grandchildren; Scott Smith, Justin Summers, Eric Summers, Darren Summers, Anthony Summers, and Dana Taylor; and seven great-grandchildren

Eunice Ethridge, 86 of Poplar Bluff passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.  Visitation will begin 10AM Wed. Dec. 28 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street in Poplar Bluff, followed by 11AM funeral service in chapel with Robert Edwards officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Zion cemetery near Williamsville.

Anna “Eunice” Ethridge was born October 20, 1925 in Hendrickson, MO  to the late Charles Shamblin and Mae Kinsworthy-Shamblin.  She had lived in Butler county for 50 plus years.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Church near Williamsville.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowering and word searches. 

She was married to Carl Ethridge; who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two children:  Jerry Ethridge and Donna Bacon both of Williamsville.  Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Thomas Wayne Feltz, 63,of Poplar Bluff, MO died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.  Visitation will begin 10AM Tuesday Dec 27, 2011, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home  in Poplar Bluff, followed by funeral services at 11AM in funeral home chapel, with Rev. Louie Robinson.  Burial will be in Hunt White Cemetery in Doniphan.

Mr. Feltz had lived in Poplar Bluff for seven years.  He was born Dec 30, 1947 in Rockford, IL  He was a welder.  His hobbies were fishing, auctions and his grandchilren and great-grandchildren. 

He married Linda Bonds on Jan 26, 1968 in Rochelle, IL  She survives.  Also surviving are two children: Tammy Ward of Poplar Bluff, MO and Samuel Feltz of Doniphan; two sisters: Nancy Everley of Rokford, IL and Katey Spradlin of South Beloit, IL; six brothers: Clyde Feltz Jr., Danny Feltz, both of Machesney Park, IL; Donald Feltz of Owasso, Oklahoma, Jack Feltz of Bellvidere, IL; Paul Feltz of Rockford, IL and Fred Feltz of South Belit, IL; eight grandchildren: Nicole Ward, Megan Ward, Stephanie Feltz, Courtney Feltz, Scott Buse, Isaiah Feltz, Abigail Feltz, and Madalynn Feltz; eight great-grandchildren: Madison Ward, Emily Ward, Kaitlyn Deaton, Braiden Feltz, Anbree Henn, Austin Weyland, Hunter Radford and Lillian Andreius.

He was preceded in death by a son; Thomas Feltz Jr; his parents Clyde Feltz and Marion Ferguson Feltz; a sister, Joyce Webster

Robert Earl Hall

Robert Earl Hall of Poplar Bluff, passed away, Friday, December 16, 2011 at the age of 56. 

Mr. Hall was born September 11, 1955, in Kennett, Missouri, to parents Bobby Lewis and Suetta (Whitehead) Hall.  He had previously lived in Williamsville, Mo. and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a carpenter by trade.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Ann (Million) Hall; his  mother, Suetta Hall of Williamsville, Mo.; children, Jeffery Earl Hall, Poplar Bluff, Nina Raelyn Rogers, St. Charles, Mo.; two sisters, Linda Hall Elston, of Williamsville and Debbie Atkins, of Dexter; one brother Joey Hall, of Poplar Bluff; and two grandchildren, Mason Rogers and Madison Rogers.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Lewis Hall.

Visitation for Mr. Hall will begin at 10 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo., followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Butler County.

Delores Ryan

Delores L. Ryan, of Williamsville, Mo., passed away Saturday, December 4, 2011, at her home. 

Mrs. Ryan was born October 15, 1918, in Herrin, Ill.  She had lived in Williamsville for 11 years.  Mrs Ryan was of the Baptist faith.  Retired, she had worked as a nurse’s aide.  She liked wildlife and writing. 

In 1934, she married Roy Fulcher at Cobben, Ill.  He preceded her in death. 

Survivors include two daughters, Kaye Stoff of  Baldwin, Mo., and Kitty Tipton of Williamsville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

No  services are planned at this time.  Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home of Poplar Bluff, in charge of arrangements.

Francis Reba Spears (Prevatt)

Francis Reba Spears (Prevatt) of Harviell, Mo., passed away Friday, December 2, 2011, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. 

She was born September  23, 1944 in Higdon, Arkansas.  She had lived in Harviell for the past 35 years and formerly lived in California.  She was  of the Southern Baptist faith and had worked as a cake decorator. 

She loved computers, Facebook, reading, cooking and sewing and loved being with her grandchildren. 

On July 9, 1960, she was married to Thomas Jennings Prevatt.  He preceded her in death on January 9, 1989.

Surviving are her children, Sheila Swofford and husband, David, of Virginia Beach, Va., Shelli Donley and husband, Greg, and Robin Fears and husband, Russel, all of Harviell,  Mo., Sherri Butler and husband, Tony, of Poplar Bluff; her mother, Muriel (Rollins) Bates of Poplar Bluff; her sister, Ruth Withrow of Poplar Bluff; her brother, Ernest Bates of Poplar Bluff; her grandchildren, Dani, Shawn, Amanda, Mychael, Jessica, Joshua, Tarah, Laura, Kyle and Kayli; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Marley, Beau, Jonathon, Mattie and arriving soon, Ledger and Carson.

She was preceded in death by her father,  William Bates; a sister, Carolyn Sexton; and a brother, Jimmy Bates.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, followed by the funeral service at 7 p.m., at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. with Pastor Stephen Patterson officiating.  Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Memorial Garden Cemetery, Poplar Bluff.

Bernice Soares Moore

Bernice Soares Moore , of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away December 2, 2011 at the Saint Frances Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, Mo., at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 24 days. 

Mrs. Moore  was born July 8, 1937,  in Honolulu, Hawaii, to the late William Machado and Annie (Verez) Machado.  She had been a Butler County resident for the last 15 years.  She was a member of the Poplar Bluff Apostolic Worship Center and enjoyed traveling, cooking and had been a cook at the Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo. 

On August 28, 1977, she was married to Michael V. Moore, in Honolulu, Hawaii.  He survives. 

Other survivors include her children; Glory and husband, Isaiah Song and Polly and husband, Teddy Conterbury,  of Honolulu, Hawaii; Edwina and partner, Tony, of Providence, Rhode Island; Verna and partner, Tammy; Lynette and husband, Filipe Sanchez; Alfred and wife, Marie Soars; Drina and husband, Addison Medeiros, all of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Wayne and partner, Jacklyn of Poplar Bluff. Also surviving are her sisters, Dorothy, Diane, Lucille and Margret; 26 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Annie Machado.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:30 a.m., Monday December 5, 2011, at the Poplar Bluff Apostolic Worship Center, with Rev. Jerry Williams officiating.  Burial in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Bloomfield, Missouri.

Helen Shirlene Urich

Helen Shirline Urich, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away November 30, 2011, at her home, at the age of 74.    

Mrs. Urich was born December 17, 1936, at Hermandale, Mo. , to the late Claud Lampley Sr. and Bertha (Ham) Lampley.   On February 27, 1954, at Halcomb, Mo. she was married to Lester Urich.  He survives. 

She was a life time resident of Butler County and enjoyed fishing, getting on E-Bay and loved antiques.  She was a member to the Fisk General Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Lester Urich; son, Dale Urich and his wife, Joyce of Watkinsville, Georgia; sister, Dortha Payne of Qulin; brother, Sonny Lampley of St. Charles, Mo.; grandchildren, Lorrie Arms, Dusty Urich and Matthew Urich; great-grandchildren, Ian Urich, Chelsea Merritt, Joe Moss, Zach Arms, and Lexie Arms.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claud Lampley Sr. and Bertha Lampley; brothers, Jerry Lampley, Bobby Lampley, Bill Lampley, Earl Lampley and Arnold Lampley.  

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 in the chapel with Pastor Greg Whittle officiating.  Burial in Brown Chapel Cemetery.
