Patricia Livingston

Patricia A. Livingston, age 80,of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. 

Mrs.Livingston was born February 4, 1932, in Poplar Bluff, Mo, to the late Monte Taylor and Mildred (Russell) Taylor.  She had also lived in Westover, Alabama.  She was a homemaker.

On February 11, 1950, she was married to Lincoln Livingston.  He preceded her in death on November 7, 2009.

Surviving are one son, Monte Livingston of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Debbie Fredwell of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, Brett Livingston and Randy Livingston; and one great-grandchild, Taylor Livingston.

Also preceding her in death were a son, Randy Livingston, and a grandchild, Monte Livingston Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Woodlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating.

Brenda K. Holloway

Brenda K. Holloway, 58 of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away October 25, 2012, in the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was born September 23, 1954 at St.Louis, Missouri, to the late Sam Leonard and Cathrine Martin Leonard.

She is survived by three children, Matt Leonard, Pat Likes, and Mary Davis; one sister, Doris Kovach and one brother, Sam Leonard; five grandchildren, Jacob Leonard,Logan Likes, Carson Likes, Heaven Werkmeister and Harley Werkmeister

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richard Davis and one sister, Donna Moore and one brother, Jim Leonard.

Visitation for Mrs. Holloway will be Monday, October 29, 2012, starting at 11:00 am with the funeral following at 12:00 pm in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Naylor Memorial Cemetery at Naylor, Missouri with Rev Jerry Summers officiating.

Ona Mae Pulliam

Mary Ona Mae Pulliam, 74 of Neelyville, Missouri, passed away October 25, 2012 in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center at Poplar Bluff, Mo. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana October 17, 1938 to the late Byron Cox and Myrtle “Owens’ Cox.

On august 24, 1958 at Corning, Arkansas, She was married to Clarence H. Pulliam.

She is survived by one Daughter, Lee Hudson and husband Leon of Neelyville, Missouri. One Grandson Travis Pulliam and one Great Granddaughter, Nicole Pulliam. She is also survived by two sisters,Vivian Morgan of Corning, Arkansas and Kay Brannum of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Ona was preceded in death by her husband Clarance Pulliam and her parents as well as five brothers, Johnnie, Leamon, Eugene, James, and Paul Cox.

She enjoyed listening to gospel music and singing and crocheting. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Saturday October 27, 2012 starting at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral following at 12:00 pm in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Mo. Burial will be in the Hitt Cemetery near Success, Arkansas. Donnie Fowler Officiating.

Debbie Baucom

Debbie Ann Soens Baucom, age 53, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Baucom was born October 9, 1959 in Poplar Bluff.  She had formerly lived at Festus, Mo. for 12 years.  She was a member of New Covenant Fellowship church.

She was a  homemaker and enjoyed raising dogs, writing, spending time with her family and loved to travel. 

On November 29, 1986 she was married to Arthur Baucom in Poplar Bluff, Mo.  He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Tara Buacom and Shawn Baucom both of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Judy Brown of Florissant, Mo., and two brothers, Pete Soens and Jerry Soens both of Farmington, Mo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer ‘Sparky’Soens and Lilly ‘Tilly’  Soens.

Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. in the chapel, with Rev. Jerry Moore officiating.  Burial in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Williamsville, Mo.

Christy Kneir

Christy  Lynn Kneir, age 40, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Kneir was born May 14, 1972, in Poplar Bluff and had previously lived in Maryland and Virginia.  She was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church.

She was a surgical tech at Poplar Bluff Medical Partners.  She enjoyed reading and working in the yard.  She loved driving her new car and loved being with her grandchildren. 

On May 22, 2004, she was married to Kevin Kneir in Poplar Bluff.  He survives. 

Also surviving are her children, Amber Burgett, Lehanne Burgett, Krystal Kneir, Charlie Kneir, David Kneir, and Anna Kneir all of Poplar Bluff, Shayne Burgett of Virginia and Robert Burgett, stationed with the U.S.Army in Saudi Arabia; her parents, David and Lana Glaze of Poplar Bluff; her birth mother, Eddi Burch, grandmother, Betty Glaze, father-in-law, Charles Kneir of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Darla Presler and husband, Michael of Neelyville, Mo.; one brother, James Hughey of Williamsville, Mo.; grandchildren, Jacob Warren Kneir and Noah Sansoucie; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Henrietta Lee; her grandfather, Dennis Glaze and her great-grandparents, Henry and Cecil Batts.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012, at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 3200 Warrior Lane, Poplar Bluff.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the church with Pastor Brian Sharp officiating.  Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Poplar Bluff.

Steven Mills

Steven Mills, age 51, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Mills was born May 6, 1961, in Montery, California and had spent most of his life in Butler County.

He was a cook at the Westwood Hills Country Club and enjoyed playing cross word puzzles, traveling, watching cartoons, and his grandchildren and a huge Kiss fan.

He was married to Thurma Rippie in 2008 and she survives.

Also surviving are his children Nicholle Mills, Brenton Mills, Robert Greer, Charles Greer and Don Howdeshell and his mother Ethel Watkins Mills Delleart of Poplar Bluff, sisters Barbara Wilson and Jean Hatford and brothers Darrell Mills, Kenneth Mills and Allan Mills, three grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service may be planned at a later date.

Arthur Hillis

Arthur Thurman Hillis, age 86, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Westwood Hills Healthcare.

Mr. Hillis was born August 12, 1926, in Poplar Bluff and was a life time Butler County resident.  He retired as a maintenance supervisor for the city of Poplar Bluff street  department.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball and softball. 

On February 14, 1948, he was  married to Peggy (Kliensorge) Hillis, in Piggot, Arkansas.  She preceded him in death on October 1, 2006.   

Mr. Hillis is survived by one son, Ronald Gene Hillis and wife, Tanya; his son-in-law, Joe L. Ward; and one special niece, Janice Crook, all of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Lola Feverston of Poplar Bluff; and a special brother-in-law, Ralph Mayes of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren, Daniel Hillis, Malia Cannaday, Joe L. Ward Jr., Michael Ward all of Poplar Bluff; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Ward of Pittsburg, Pa., Sara Ward of St. Louis, and Michael Ward Jr. of Poplar Bluff, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Walter Charles Hillis and Eva Marie Hillis;  two daughters, Sandra Hillis and Martha Suzy Ward; two sisters, Dorothy Mayes and  Ethel Welch; six brothers, Ernie Hillis, Verley Hillis, Charles Hillis, Willard Hillis, Cecil Hillis, and Donald Hillis.

 Visitation for Mr. Hillis will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.  The funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in the chapel with Rev. Ralph Mayes officiating.  Burial in the City Cemetery.

Fred Lee Porter

Fred Lee Porter, 66 of Naylor passed away October 17, 2012 at the Missouri Rehab Center in Mt Vernon, Missouri. He was born May 30, 1946 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Paul Porter and Lona Moore Porter.

He was a lifelong resident of the Naylor area. He had served in the United States Marine corps. during the Vietnam War. He had received several medals including the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Naylor Masonic Lodge #643 and the American Legion at Naylor and a life time member of the VFW. He also served on the Naylor RII School District board for 18 years, as well as the Drainage district board and Naylor cemetery board. He was a farmer and enjoyed farming, reading, talking with friends and helping people and spending time with his grandsons, Conner and Luke.

On august 30, 1969 at Oxly, Missouri He was married to Genevieve White. she survives. also surviving is one daughter, Kim St.Cin and husband Billy of Hernando, Mississippi, his grandsons, Conner and Luke St.Cin of the home. Three sisters, Nellie Jennings of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Valene Dickie of Darnell, Arkansas, and Linda Hager and husband Rick of Oklahoma. Two brothers also survive, Dale Porter and wife Mary of Naylor, Missouri and Ed Stark of Memphis, Tennessee.Special Sister-in-Laws Emmie and husband Mike Deterding, Zuna Woolard and husband Joe and Lavern White.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a  sister Edna Morrison and one brother Raymond Stark.

Visitation will be Saturday October 20, 2012 starting at 6:00 p.m. with the funeral Sunday October 21, 2012 starting at 2:00 p.m. At the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neeylville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Naylor Memorial Cemetery with Donnie Fowler Officiating.

Teddy Dowd

 Teddy Dowd, 61, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at his residence. 

Mr. Dowd was born June 11, 1951, in Poplar Bluff, to parents Theodore and Dorothy (Boyers) Dowd.  He was a member of the Eagles #3730.  A glass cutter and installer by trade, he enjoyed car racing, golfing, coaching baseball and loved  music

He is survived by his children, Jason Dowd and wife, Melissa and Steve Buchanan and wife, Nancey; his mother, Dorothy Dowd;  two sisters, Debbie Conover and husband, Pete, and Sandi Cowan;  one brother, Larry Dowd and wife, Diane; and grandchildren, Drew, Mackenzie and Samantha Dowd, and Dexter and Amanda Moore.

He is preceded in death by his father, Theodore Dowd.

Visitation will be 12-1:30 p.m., Sunday Oct. 21, 2012, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo., followed by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Doug Osborn officiating.  Burial will be in Black Creek Cemetery.

Richard Geisinger

Richard Adam Geisinger, age 53, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at his home in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

He is survived by Barbara of the home; four step-daughters, Tina Webb of Alkins, Ar., Selina Pennington of Chaffee, Mo., Jimmie Robison and Jennifer Mosbey, both of Dexter, Mo.
