Phyllis Kuehle

Phyllis Marie Kuehle, age 66, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Kuehle was born October 23, 1947 at Parma, Mo. to the late Homer Alexander and Bessie Alice (Wilburn) Dodson. She enjoyed reading, watching movies and being with her grandchildren.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wappapello, Eagles, American Legion and Elks Auxiliary.

She was married to Michael S. Kuehle.  He passed away May 9, 2003.

Survivors include a daughter, Carmen Gardner of Poplar Bluff; sisters, Doris Gregg of Parma and June Eddings of Wappapello; brothers, Bennie Joe Dodson of Boone, Ia., Travis Jean Dodson of Poplar Bluff, and Homer Dewayne Dodson of Tallapoosa, Mo.; her grandchildren, Trena Marie Gardner, Raina Jean Gardner and Phillip Trent Gardner II.

Also preceding her in death are her brothers, Robert Louis Dodson, Linzel Eugene Dodson, Owen Sherrel Dodson, Jimmie Lee Dodson, Jerry Alexander Dodson, Lonnie Ray Dodson and Ulis Wilburn Dodson.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 followed by funeral services at 5 p.m. at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff with Robin Berry officiating.

Gene Hency

Edgar Eugene “Gene” Hency, age 79, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, November 4, 2013, at his home. 

Mr. Hency was born September 11, 1934, in Benton, Mo., to the late, Claudis William and Lula Mae (Estes) Hency.   He served in the U.S. Army and later moved his family to Poplar Bluff where he worked at Uncle Joe’s store for several years before working as a salesman for Meeks Lumber Company where he retired after more than 30 years.   He enjoyed wood working, yard work, gardening and Cardinal’s Baseball.  He was a member of the West Side Church of God. 

On December 31, 1956, he married Janet Wisdom, in Crowder, Mo.  She survives.

Other survivors include  daughters, Teresa Kronz and husband, Matt and Cheryl Rowden and husband, Paul; sisters, Pauline Burgess and husband, Norman and Clara Mae Dunham; and brothers, Claudis Hency Jr., Don Hency, Ralph Hency, and Robert “Bob” Hency and wife, Lee.  He was Papa to Derek Prim (Amanda), Stephanie Underhill (Willis), Kimberly Naes-Pense (Chris), Kandice Dyer (Kim). He had nine great-grandchildren, Ethan and Zachary Underhill, Avin Prim, Matt, Abby and Sean Naes, Natasha Duelly, and Paul and Isabelle Dyer. He is also survived by his best friend, Clyde Stone.

Also preceding him in death are one sister, Mayme Hackaday and two brothers, Charles Hency and Neal Hency.

Visitation for Mr. Hency will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bob Featherston officiating.  Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in the Mo. State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with full military honors.

Andrea Constantino

Andrea Jean Constantino, 36, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Friday, October 25, 2013, at her residence.

Ms. Constantino was born July 6, 1977, in Poplar Bluff.  She loved being with her family.

Survivors include her children, Treva Croy, Lauren Constantino, Mackenzie Sansousi and Jacob Constantino; her parents, Donald Ray Phillips and Lora Black; her grandmother, Vergie Montgomery; a very special aunt, Kathy Montgomery; brothers, Curtis Ray Montgomery, Shanon Black and Jessie Black; a special friend, Keith Caudle.  

Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, followed by a graveside funeral at 3 p.m. at the City Cemetery with Ron Fowler officiating.
