Christopher Littrell

Christopher David Littrell, 48, of Wappapello, Mo., passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at his home.

He was born June 15, 1966, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to the late Oliver and Faith (Hogue) Littrell. Mr. Littrell had worked as a truck driver and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing with his grandchildren.

On May 24, 1986, he married Patrice (Siebert) Littrell in Glendenville, Mo. She survives.

He is also survived by his daughters, Courtney Littrell and Amanda Littrell; two sisters, Mary Cook and Sheila Jimerson; and brothers, Orville Littrell and Wallace Littrell; as well as grandchildren, Aiden and Addison.

Visitation  will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, Mo.  Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 in the funeral home chapel. Burial  will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Freeman Odell Hays

Freeman Odell Hays, 74 , of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Qulin, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015, at the John J Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born December 10,1940, in Pollard Ark., to the late Golfrey Hays and Vivian Mae (Wallace)  Hays.

He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post 494 in Qulin.  He was also a commercial truck driver.

Survivors include his children, Brenda Culp, Mikel Hays, Stephanie Gristea; two stepchildren, Clifton Morlan and  Anthony Morlan; one sister, Glenda Reeves; a half sister, Louise Hornbeck, and half brother, Ray Tilley; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hays was also preceded in death by sisters, Virginia  Gwaltney, Nina Wilborn, and Pansy  Melton.

No services are planned at Mr. Hay’s request.

Max R. Day

Max R. Day, 73, the son of Raymond Day and Dorothy Verneal Robinson Day was born on January 6, 1942 at Ponder, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday February 15, 2015 at his home in Naylor, Missouri.

He enjoyed wood working, hunting, fishing, mowing the yard and  going to ball games and his family. He was a member of the Naylor Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

On January 20, 1962, Max was married to Gloria Martin at Pocahontas, Arkansas and she survives.

Also surviving he leaves two sons, Scott Day and wife, Kim of Iola, Kansas,  Bob Day and wife, Carol of Naylor, Mo.; four sisters, Barbara Richardson of Neelyville, Mo., Darlene Isom of Neelyville, Mo., Diane Cullison of Naylor, Mo., and Connie Moore of Naylor, Mo.; three brothers, Leon Day of Naylor, Kenny Day of Naylor,  Carter Day of Naylor; his grandchildren, Dale Day and wife, Mallory, Amanda Harmon  and husband, Michael, Brandon, Jessica, David, as well as his great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Savannah, Lilly, and Owen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Dorothy Verneal Robinson Day; one sister, Vickie Easter, as well as one grandson, Kyle Day.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, February 18, at 12:00 noon  with funeral services following at 2:00 pm at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Eaton Cemetery, Naylor Missouri. Brother Randy Hart will officiate.

Max will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew him.

Nancy Jean Adkins

Nancy Jean Adkins, 56, was born June 13, 1958 in Kalamazoo Michigan, and departed this life February 7, 2015 at N.E.A Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro Arkansas.

As a homemaker, in her spare time she enjoyed dogs, watching hummingbirds, indian artifacts, being in nature and speeding time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hayward Dawson, as well as 1 Brother, Randy.


Survivors include 1 son Gregg Thompson (wife Michelle) of Corning. And 1 daughter Melissa Garrison also of Corning.

1 sister Judy Vidrine of Neelyville Missouri.


4 grandchildren Andrew Thompson, Mollie Thompson, Mabri Thompson and Haylee Fairchild.

Memorial Services were held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel, at 3:00 pm.

Jack Powell officiated.

Charles Leonard Green Jr.

Charles Leonard Green Jr., 68, of Naylor, Mo., died Wed., Feb. 4, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Green was born Nov. 9, 1946 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He worked as a truck driver and enjoyed crossword puzzles, hunting, fishing, and watching westerns on T.V. He was also a member of the Eagles club and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Survivors include his five children, Michael McCollum, Charles Scott McCollum, Robert McElhaney, David Green, and Kim South; 3 sisters, Nancy Carol Green, Rose Maxwell, Billie Clark; 4 brothers, Harvey Wayne Green, Steven J. Green, J.D. Lee Green, Bob Roberts; 19 grandchildren, and 8 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Charles L. Green Sr. and Mary Marie Williams; two sisters, Cordelia (Corky) Aldridge, Mary Sue Reynolds; 1 brother, Donald Melvin Green and 1 great-grandchild.
