Mark Gearhart

Mark Quintin Gearhart, 43, of Corning, Ar., passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Gearhart was born Dec. 17, 1971 in Pocahontas, Ark. He worked as a Truck Driver and drove a gas delivery truck. His hobbies included deer hunting, 4-wheelers, mudding, playing softball with his children, cooking for his children, and joking around with children. He attended Freewill Baptist Church in Reno Ark.

Survivors include his children, Joseph Russell Gearhart, Destiny Danielle Gearhart, Cheyenne Renee Gearhart and Dylan Mathew Gearhart; his mother, Sharon Whitaker Blackman; his grandfather, Russ Williams; 2 sisters, Johanna Sullivan Woolard and Lisa Gearhart Hail; 2 brothers Joseph Lynn Gearhart and Robert Lee Blackman Jr.; 1 niece, Samantha Gearhart Denton; 1 nephew, Alexander Lee Blackman; and 2 great-nephews, Caden Lee Denton, and Dakota Hunter Blackman.

Preceding him in death are his father, Joseph Leo Gearhart.

A visitation will be held, Wed. Sept. 30, 2015 from 1:30 – 2:30 at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. A graveside service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Wed. at the Corning Cemetery with Roger Hovis officiating.

Edward “Joe” Josiah Stadler

Edward “Joe” Josiah Stadler, 70, of Doniphan, Missouri passed away September 26, 2015 in the Southeast Healthcare in Doniphan.  He was born November 29, 1944 at Fardealing, Missouri to the late Alfred John Stadler and Estella Amaliea Jones Stadler.

He had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and had enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting.

On December 16, 1994 at Doniphan, Missouri, He was married to Carol Huffman. she survives.

Also surviving are his children, Eddie Joe Stadler and wife Misty of Doniphan, Missouri, Paul Stadler and wife Connie of Fayetteville. Arkansas, Christina and husband Blake of Fairdealing, Missouri, Nick Stadler and wife Niki, of Piggott, Arkansas, LaDonna Asher of Doniphan, Missouri , Dwayne Crowder Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Amanda Neldon of Doniphan, Missouri. He also survived by five sisters, Estella Graham and Carol Sue Maynard both of Doniphan, Missouri, Charlotte Hudson and husband Randy of Huntsville, Arkansas, Katherine Craft of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Joyce Lorraine French of Doniphan, Missouri, three brothers; Johan Stadler and wife Pauline of Dalton, Georgia, Robert Stadler of Doniphan, Missouri and Richard Stadler of Springdale, Arkansas  and one sister-in-law Yvonne Stadler of Doniphan and one brother-in-law Gary Larabee, Holton, Michigan. 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as one sister, Edna Larabee and five brothers’ Hershal Alfred Stadler and twin brother Alfred Eugene Stadler, William Stadler, Tom Stadler.

Visitation for Mr. Stadler will be Tuesday September 29, 2015 starting at 11:00 am in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Missouri with the funeral following a 2:00p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will be in the City Cemetery  of Poplar Bluff, Missouri with Ron Fowler Officiating.

Teddie Birdsong

Teddie Gene Birdsong, 72, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015, at the Westwood Hills Healthcare Facility in Poplar Bluff.

Teddie was born May 16, 1943, in Poplar Bluff, to Blake R. Birdsong and Mary L. (Timmons) Birdsong.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was an electrician by trade and loved to work. He enjoyed being with family and his pets.

Survivors include his wife, Sherri (Gowen) Birdsong; a daughter, Cindy Bartlett and sons, Robert Birdsong and Teddy Birdsong; three sisters, Allene Sweeza, Janis Birdsong, and Anita Birdsong; two brothers, Blake T. Birdsong and Russell Birdsong, as well as four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Stewart and Ruth Carl and a brother, Billy Birdsong.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.  A graveside funeral service and interment will follow at 11 a.m. at the Black Creek Cemetery with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating.

Veronica Regina Stadler

Veronica Regina Stadler, 55, of Fairdealing, Missouri passed away September 24, 2015 in St. Louis, Missouri at the St. Anthony’s Healthcare. She was born November 127, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph Anthony and Veronica (Garson) Anthony.

On June 26, 2004, at Fairdealing, Missouri, She was married to Jerry Stadler. He survives. also surviving are Two sons: James (Jimmy) Jasionowski and Andrew (Andy) Jasionowski both from Pennsylvania, three sisters; Lorraine Hasenberg of South Carolina, Peggy Obermeier of New Jersey and Patricia Weiland of Pennsylvania and one brother; Vincent Anthony of New Jersey. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was a member of the Center Hill Southern Baptist church and enjoyed computers.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joseph Anthony.

Visitation for Mrs. Stadler will be Sunday Night September 27, 2015 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Missouri. Funeral services will be Monday September 28, 2015 starting at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Neelville.  Burial will be in Stadler Cemetery with Donnie Fowler officiating.

Estle H. (Bud) Knowlton

Estle H. “Bud” Knowlton, 93, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at  Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Knowlton was born  to Claude and Matilda (Ivy) Knowlton on April 25, 1922 in Ripley  County, Mo. He was previously married to Genevive Richardson and Hazel Richardet who preceded him in death.

Mr. Knowlton was a 1941 graduate of Neelyville  High School and held a position as a welder in a shipyard. He was an active member of the Poplar Bluff Eagles Club  and had owned Knowlton’s County Club on the Arkansas/Missouri state line. Mr. Knowlton enjoyed antique cars and raising Tennessee Walking horses during is lifetime.

He is survived by three daughters, Verneal Braden of Viola, Arkansas,  Carolyn Michnal of Kalispill, Montana, and Robin Perna of Lindsey California; a sister, Louise Gillispie of Montgomery, Al.,  eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by a son, Stanley, and three sisters, Ollie Hines, Celesta Armstrong and his twin, Esther Engleman.

Visitation for Mr. Knowlton will be from 1:oo p.m. till 2:00 p.m. Tuesday September 26, 2015 at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Missouri. the funeral will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Neelyville, Mo. with burial in the Memorial Garden of Poplar Bluff.

MaryAnn Kienast

MaryAnn Kienast, 69, of Dexter, Mo., formerly of Lawson, Mo., passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Home in Dexter, Mo.

Mrs. Kienast was born June 1, 1946, in Scottland, South Dakota, to the late William Max Claussen and Elizabeth Luby Claussen.  She was of the Assembly of God faith.  She was owner of Mary’s Flower And Bridal Shoppe and enjoyed scrapbooking and bowling.

On February 13, 1966, she married Allen Arthur Kienast in Summerfield, Ks.  He survives.

Other survivors include her children, Rhonda Smith (Roger) and Scotty Kienast (Marilyn); one sister, Judy Doyel; three brothers, Fritz, Edward and Hilton Claussen; four grandchildren, Denny and Daniel Smith and Mackinzie and Kayla Kienast.

A sister, Betty Claussen, also preceded her in death.

Interment will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Mo. Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield. Mo. A Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Lawson Assembly of God Church in Lawson, Mo., with Rev. Bobby Morris officiating.

Christopher Charles Moore

Christopher Charles Moore, 44, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away September 22, 2015 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Moore was born February 23, 1971, in Virginia Beach, Va., to Charles Moore and Deborah Hicks-Whitmer. Both survive.

He is also survived by his step-father, Stanley Whitmer; two brothers, Shawn Freeman and Daniel Moore; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Mr. Moore was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed running track and loved dogs. He previously owned three Meineke stores in Virginia.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Abel Moore Sr. and Sue Moore, and Ralph and Sue Hicks, and a brother, Charles Moore Jr.

A memorial visitation will begin at 1p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. with Edward Hicks II officiating.

Joan (Dobbs) Underwood

Joan (Dobbs) Underwood, 74, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Underwood was born November 29, 1940 in Memphis, Tn.  She was a member of God’s Country Cowboy Church in Fredericktown, Mo., Rebekah Lodge #41 and Odd Fellows #179.

On April 21, 1956 she married Clyde Dobbs.  He preceded her in death September 12, 2002.  She later married Jessie Robert Underwood on August 26, 2009.  He survives.

Also surviving are 9 children, Clyde Dobbs Jr., William Dobbs, Dianne Arnold, Laura Dobbs, Thomas Dobbs, Joe Dobbs, Michael Dobbs, Melissa Rush and Mark Dobbs; 2 stepchildren, Kelvin Underwood and Maria Gang; one sister, Barbara England; 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Joseph C. Allen and Daisy Hefner and a son, Kevin Dobbs.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Three Springs Cemetery with Rev. Steve Frances officiating.  A memorial gathering will follow at the Agee Fellowship Church on W Hwy.

Michelle Renee Wagner

Michelle Renee Wagner, 37, of Harviell, Mo., passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015, in the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.. She was born April 14, 1978 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri to  Carl Richard Wagner and Mary Louise Murrell Wagner. They survive.

She is survived by her parents and one brother, Richie and wife, Robin of Naylor, Mo., as well as one niece, Tomi, and one nephew, Mason.

She has worked for independent Living home health Care. she was a member of Harviell Church of Christ, a graduate of Neelyville High School and enjoyed making jewelry, puzzles, playing games with the children and facebook.

Visitation will start at 6 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015 in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville. the funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2015, Burial will be in the Kinsey Cemetery near Harviell.

Melvin “Bud” McIntosh

Melvin “Bud” McIntosh, 77, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. McIntosh was born on September 23, 1937 in Poplar Bluff to the late Aubrey and Lillie McIntosh. He was a lifetime resident of Poplar Bluff.

Mr. McIntosh served in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed fishing and having coffee with his buddies.

On June 15, 1963 he married to Dorothy (Waters) McIntosh, in Fairdealing, Mo.  She preceded him in death on June 23, 2000.

He is survived by his children, one son, Royce Booth (Gaye) and two daughters, Belinda Rogers, and Tracy Ward (George).  Also surviving are two sisters, Joann Frame and Carolyn Mohr; one brother, Raymond McIntosh, nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife, Dorothy; one grandchild, Amanda Ward and son-in-law, Greg Rogers.

Visitation will begin at 6p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.  The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015 in the chapel with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with full military honors.
