Jerry Lee Tillman

Jerry Lee Tillman, 65, of Doniphan, Missouri passed away February 10, 2017, in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

He was born December 2, 1951 in Granite City, Illinois to Perry Tillman and Alice Borth Tillman.

On August 15, 1970 at  Doniphan, Missouri, he married Joan Marie Berry. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, James Tillman and Jesse Tillman; two sisters, Violet Richmond and Jeannie Tillman and one brother Billy Joe Tillman all of Doniphan. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jesseka, Maryah, and Tucker Tillman.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents as well as one son, James William Tillman; one sister, Mary Ann Tillman and brother, Gary Tillman.

He had served in the United States Marines and was a member of the Naylor Pentecostal Church.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am February 14, 2017 in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Missouri with the funeral following at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Brooks Cemetery of Doniphan with Brother Ronnie Payne officiating.

Ronnie Leroy Hudson

Ronnie Leroy Hudson, 69, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away February 6, 2017 at his residence.

He was born March 31, 1947 to the  late Robert Hudson and Marcella Russell Hudson.

He is survived by one daughter, Stacy Hudson of Pocahontas and one son, Kevin Hudson also of Pocahontas; two sisters, Brenda Taylor of Rockfield, Ky. and Omhala Snelson of Doniphan, Missouri; three brothers, Bob Hudson of Cedar Hill, Missouri, John Hudson of Doniphan and Carl McMurtry of St.Charles, Missouri, one grandchild, Logan Hudson; great-grandchildren, Dylan Hudson, Taylor  Hudson, Erica Hudson, Olivia Hudson and great-great grandchildren, Mary Beth Taylor Hudson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as two brothers, Leon Hudson and Dennis Hudson, and a grandchild Jacob Hudson.

Ronnie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the VFW in Doniphan, as well as member of Skaggs Church of Christ in Pocahontas. He enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting. He had been a commercial truck driver.

Visitation for Ronnie will be Monday February 13, 2017 starting at 10:00 am with the funeral following at 12:00 p.m. at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. Burial will be in Gum Cemetery near Naylor, with Jon Fears officiating.

Deborah Kay “LaBrot” Goforth

Deborah Kay Goforth, 61, of Doniphan, Missouri, passed away February 7, 2017 at her residence.

She was born January 3, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri to Gary E. LaBrot and Margorie Bush.

She is survived by her children, Gary Edward Goforth Jr., Billie Jo Robinson and Sherry Kay Gallamore; her mother, Marjorie Bush; two brothers, James Randy LaBrot  and Gary Devin LaBrot; one sister, Cathie Robinson; as well as eight grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Deborah was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Kenneth Lee LaBrot and sister, Karon LaBrot.

She enjoyed fishing, dancing, singing and boating.

Visitation for Deborah will be Friday February 10, 2017 starting at 11:30 till 12:30 at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel with a graveside service at 1 p.m. at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Doniphan. Curtis Crowley will be officiating.

Charles Lee Sr.

Charles Lee Sr., 75, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.  Graveside service and interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Ron Fowler officiating.

Norma Flow Stark

Norma Flow Stark, 83, of Naylor, Mo. passed away on Feb. 4, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Stark was born on Sept. 9, 1933 in Pope County, AR.

On Aug. 22, 1953 she married Elmer Stark in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He preceded her in death on May. 24, 1995.

A graveside service will take place on Feb. 9, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Frank Kelly

Frank Howard Kelly, 84, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away on February 6, 2017 at the John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Kelly was born on February 9, 1932. He worked as an Iron Worker and enjoyed feeding fish in Tony’s Lake and spending time in the outdoors. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

On February 17, 1959, Frank married Betty Ann Ferguson. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Barbara Yarber of Doniphan, Mo.; Tony Kelly of Ellsinore, Mo., Laura Turner of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Kevin Kelly of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; sisters, Shirley Golden of Poplar Bluff, Judy Campbell of FL., Allene O’brien of Tallahassee FL., Ruthie Parks of Belgrade, Mo.; brothers, Steve Womack of Poplar Bluff, David, Levi Womack of Farmington, Mo., and David Womack of Portageville, Mo.; as well as 19 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Debra Kay Snider; 1 infant child, Frankie Jr.; parents, Frank and Clara Womack; as well as 1 sister and 5 brothers.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 from 11:00 – 1:00 at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. The funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Gary Hancock. Burial will take place at Brown Chapel in Broseley, Mo.

Eva Maxine Maples

Eva Maxine Maples, 81, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away on February 4, 2017 in AZ.

Mrs. Maples was born on August 12, 1935 in Naylor, Mo. She worked as a LPN and enjoyed dancing, quilting, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Eva was a member of The Cowboy Church.

On August 30, 1951, she married Junior Maple in Piggott, AR. He preceded her in death on September 15, 1994.

Survivors include, her children, Kenny Maples and wife, Cheryl of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Terry Maples and wife, Becky of Cuba, Mo.; sisters, Jerlene McClue of Naylor, Kay Hall of Paragould, Dianne Murethich of Harviell, Mo.; brothers, Jerry Hogan of Arkansas, Dewey Hogan of Rockford, Il., Don Hogan of Dixon, Il.; grandchildren, Darla Grimaldo, Chad Maples, Wade Maples, Phillip Maples, Kindra Collins; as well 4 great-grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Brady and Velma Hogan and 1 brother, Sherril Hogan.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sat. February 10, 2017 from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Donnie Fowler officiating.

Edward “Ray” Blagg

NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Edward “Ray” Blagg, 64, of Corning, Ark., died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.

Mr. Blagg was born July 16, 1952 in Coon Island, Mo. He was an U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. His hobbies are restoring old motorcycles, trucks, reading and watching T.V. He enjoyed his grandchildren, looking at old cars and computers and riding motorcycles.
On July 20, 1989, He married Anita Croley at Grand Junction, Colo. She survives.
Other survivors are three children, Sarah Byrd of Walnut Ridge, Ark., James Blagg of Paragould, Ark., and Joshua Blagg of Corning, Ark.; two sisters, Audrey Adams of Naylor and Viola Smith of Fairview Heights, Ill.; one brother, James L.”Buddy” Blagg  of Corning, and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ellen Blagg; his parents, Clarence D. Blagg and Mary Ellen Kent Blagg; four brothers, John W. Blagg, Authur L. Blagg, Ivan E. Blagg and Georgie Blagg.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville followed by the memorial service which will begin at 7 p.m. in the chapel. Gary Blagg will officiate

Audrey Walker

Audrey P. Walker, 89, of Fenton, Mo., previously of Harviell, Mo., passed away on Jan. 30, 2017 at the St. Clair Hospital in Fenton.

Mrs. Walker was born on July 24, 1927 in Harviell, Mo. She worked as a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, reading, church, spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of The Fellowship Southern Baptist Church where she had served as Sunday school teacher as well as working in the kitchen and other activities in the church. Audrey was also the president of the WMU.

On March 11, 1946 she married Luther Walker in Poplar Bluff, Mo. he preceded her in death on April 6, 2001.

Audrey is survived by her children, Sherman Kearby (Shirley) of Columbas, TX., Terry Walker (Judy) of Waynesville, Mo., Shirlene Noel (Harry) of Fenton, Mo., Vicki Walker (Mike) of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; sisters, Shirley “Midge” Rhodes of N.C., Mary Lou Shirley of Michigan; 12 grandchildren; as well as 25 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Janetta Kay Birdsong; one son, Tommie Walker; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Walker; son-in-law, Bill Birdsong; parents, Sheridan Hines and Maude Kinsey Hines Craig; 1 sister, Naomi Hillis; as well as 4 brothers, Tommy, Ernest, Sherman and Sheridan “Jack” Hines.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 10:30 – 12:30 at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. Funeral will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Ralph Mays officiating. Burial will take place in Kinsey Cemetery near Harviell, Mo.

David Lee Sparks

David Lee Sparks, 73  of Hilliard  passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Sparks was born December 27, 1943 in East St. Louis, IL.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  He had served in the United States Army.  He had worked for McKesson Drugs and was an avid scouter- being involved with Cub Scouts, Explorers and Boy Scouts.

On December 30, 1965 he married Betty DeMaris-Sparks.  She survives.  Also surviving are seven children; Chantal Jamieson (Shanon) of Jackson, MO,  Roshelle Kinder (Elwood) of Sikeston, MO, James Sparks (Yun Jeong) of Highland, UT, Dodi Riley (Patrick) of Sikeston, MO, Catherine Wood (Jason) of Lehi, UT, Adam Sparks (Giboney) of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Kimberly Wren (Trey) of Sikeston, MO; a sister, Joyce Hicks(Edward) of Poplar Bluff, 3 brothers, Daniel Sparks, Dale Sparks and Dewey Sparks(Lee) all of Poplar Bluff; 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by his parents; Granvil D. Sparks and Catherine Magill-Sparks, a brother; Dennis Sparks.

Visitation will be at 1pm Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 2414 Katy Lane Poplar Bluff, MO.  The funeral service will follow at 2pm with Bishop Steve Richardson officiating.  Burial to be in New Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler County.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be sent to them in c/0 Bishop Steve Richardson 3889 Hwy 53 Poplar Bluff, MO 63901
