Cynthia Clara Ogles

Cynthia Clara Ogles, 58, of Poplar Bluff, Mo, passed away Tuesday August 15, 2017 in Puxico, Mo. She was born December 26, 1958 in Doniphan, Mo. to the late William Richardson and Kathryn Richardson Moore. She was a member of Life Chapel Assembly in Puxico, Mo. She loved working in the church, doing crafts, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Stepheny Duke; of Calhown, Miss. James Metcalf; of St. Louis, Mo. and Amanda Estelle; of Puxico, Mo. Three brothers William Richardson; of Afton, Iowa. Robert Richardson;of Airapeaka, Fl. and Gregory Hodge; of Poplar Bluff, Mo. Five grandchildren; Justin Golden, Jeramy Goldren,  Xander Estelle, Christian Estelle, and Nicholas Estelle. One great grandchild Angel Golden, Her mother Kathryn Moore, and step-father Clyde Moore of Hernando Beach, Fl. and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father, William Richardson;  and a brother Anthony Richardson.

A memorial visitation will be Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 10 a.m. at Fowler – Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff with Rev. Chuck Clark officiating. A private interment will be in Mill Springs, Mo. at a later date.

Stephen James Blalock

Stephen James ” Jamie ” Blalock, 51, of Poplar Bluff passed away Friday Aug.11, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St.Louis, surrounded by his entire family,after an illness of eight months.

Jamie was born Aug. 27, 1965, in Memphis Tn. to Leslie and Connie Simmons Blalock. He graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1983.  When he was 16, he and Regina Dawn Smith met at Lake Wappapello and fell for each other at first sight.  They were married Nov. 2, 1985, in Poplar Bluff.

Following in his fathers footsteps, Jamie spent his career working in the heating and cooling and appliance repair business, most recently operating Appliance Parts Central. He was known both in his business dealings and in community involvement for his honesty, dedication, fairness and easygoing nature. Jamie accepted Jesus as his Savior in May and was a member of Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center.

Hunting and fishing were his favorite activities through the years, along with watching Cardinals baseball, football games and NASCAR races. He loved spending time with family and friends, and the Blalock home was a frequent gathering place on many an evening or weekend. He enjoyed close lifelong friendships with his” brothers” from other mothers,” often referred to as the  Old Flame Gang, Lyndell Coleman, Tracy Stewart, Scott Stephens, John Sloan and Paul Babcock. But nothing gave him more pleasure than the birth of his son 13 years ago, the bond they shared and the fun they enjoyed together. Jamie is survived by his wife, Gina: his son Stephen Alexander “Alex” Blalock; his mother and stepfather,Connie and Bill Marler of Poplar Bluff; his mother-in-law Juanita Smith of Poplar Bluff; two brothers Robbie (Rachel) Blalock of Poplar Bluff, and Howard “Champ” (Laura) Blalock of Dodgeville,Wisc; a sister,Cathy (Mitch) Wood of Lakeland Tn.; brother-in-law, Scott (Shirlena) Smith of Poplar Bluff; seven nieces and nephews, and two great-nephews, He was preceded in death by his father and his father-in-law Robert W.Smith.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral officiated by the Rev. Jerry Williams,will follow at noon Wednesday,with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an educational fund for Alex Blalock by mailing checks to Regina Blalock,P.O. Box 1535 , Poplar Bluff, Mo 63902.

Ronnie Jay Thomas

Ronnie Jay Thomas, son of Thelma Walker and the late Willie Grant, was born January 15, 1960, in Poplar Bluff.  He passed away at 9:55am Friday, August 4th at the John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis.

Mr. Thomas worked at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.  He enjoyed his family, friends, watching sports and reading westerns.

He is survived by his mother; Thelma (Walker)  Thomas, sisters; Jo Hale (John), Shirley Harley, Edna Young, Kathy Thomas, Jacquelyn Jackson, Carolyn Thomas, and Debra Wilkerson (James), brothers; Howard Brown and Kenny Thomas

Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Willie Grant, and brother-in-law; Robert Young.

Visitation is at 11am Friday,  August 11th at the Loving Jesus Ministries Church 2663 Thomas St. Poplar Bluff, MO.  The funeral service will follow at 12pm with Kenny Thomas officiating.  Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery Bloomfield, MO.

Joe Lee Woolard

Joe Lee Woolard, 84, of Naylor, MO., passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Woolard was born on December 15, 1932 in Naylor, Mo. He was a farmer and enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and his boat. He was also a member of the Naylor Church of Christ where he served as treasurer.

On May 7, 1953 Joe married Zuna White in Pocahontas, Ark. She survives.

Also surviving are his two sons, Don Woolard and wife Alice of Neelyville, Gary Woolard and wife Alisa of Naylor; sister-in-laws, Betty Woolard of Grand Junction, CO., Genevive Porter of Naylor, Mo. and Emmie Deterding of St. Louis, Mo.; special niece, Linda; special nephew, Glen; grandchildren, Brian, Nick, Whitney, Floyd, Colton, Kathryn, Matt and Rachel Eubanks, Jason and Callie Tidwell, Brier Mullins and Pat and Matt Ryan.; as well as several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.B. Pete Woolard and Mildred Pauline Camp Woolard; sisters, Lillian Clark and Imogene Gilliland; brother, Harold Ray Woolard and brother-in-law, Phillip Gilliland, and one granddaughter; Jill Tidwell.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Fowler-Sullivan-Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Chapel with Rick Holden officiating. Burial will be in the Naylor Memorial Cemetery.

Donald Dixon

Donald Ray Dixon, 52 of Poplar Bluff passed away August 1, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Dixon was born February 4, 1965 to the late Elmer Ray Dixon and Pauline Dixon (Brandy).

He is survived by an Uncle, Jim Dixon, aunts, and friends.

There are no services planned.  The family is asking for memorials to be directed to Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar St. Poplar Bluff, MO 63901 with help on expenses.

Jason Daryl Snyder

Jason Daryl Snyder, age 34, of Florissant, Missouri. Born February 2, 1983 passed away unexpectedly on July 28, 2017.
Jason had a heart of gold, H e always had a smile on his face, he was he life of the party. He graduated in 2001 from Hazelwood Central High School. He was one of the most popular kids in school. he excelled in baseball, soccer, football and wrestling. Jason had many hobbies, texas hold-em was his number one. Jason was loved by may friends and family.
He leaves behind his cherished and beloved soul mate Diana Leos and their son Brendan Lee Snyder, his grandfather, Jessie Lee Mize who raised him like he was his own, His grandmother Joan Rubadeau. His sisters Jessica Snyder and Maudia and brother Paul. His aunt Laurie and Aunt Jane. His uncle Jeff and uncles Todd and Terry Snyder and a whole slew of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Alisa Mize. His father Thomas Snyder and uncles Brian and Kenny Mize and Tim Snyder and his grandmother Rhonda.
Grave side services will be held Sunday August 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Brown Chapel Cemetery at Fisk, Missouri with Rev. Allen Leutert officiating.

Dimon Lee Sansoucie

Dimon Lee Sansoucie, 79, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away August 3, 2017 in the Poplar Bluff regional medical center of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was born July 30, 1938 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to the late Chris Sansoucie and Delta (Rennison) Sansoucie.
He is survived by his daughter; Diana Inman of Dexter, Missouri one sister Carolyn Deaton of Poplar Bluff, Missouri as well as four grandchildren, Jeremy Sansoucie, Sarah Hatcher, Susan Hatcher, and Shannon Hatcher. Three great grandchildren; Amelia, Noah, and Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as one sister, Wanda and three brothers; Lloyd Sansoucie, Chris Michael Sansoucie and Ivan Sansoucie.
Mr. Sansoucie, was a self employed welder and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading is bible. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. And he had served in the United States Army and had been a member of Poplar Bluff Masonic Lodge.
Visitation will be Tuesday August 8, 2017 starting at 6:00 p.m. with a Masonic service beginning at 7:00 pm in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel, Inc. of Neelyville, Missouri with a graveside service being held Wednesday July 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the City Cemetery at Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Royce Champion officiating.

Angela May Cooper

Angela May Cooper  53,  of Poplar Bluff departed this life July 26, 2017  at St.Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born January 3, 1964 in Yakima Washington.

She loved singing Gospel music, fishing  and being with her granchildren. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Surviving is a son Jeremy Summers, three brothers  Junior Harmon, David Edwards, Randy Quigley.  Two grandchildren Alexus Summers, Jace Summers.

Angela was preceded in death by her parents   Jack Cooper and Betty (McNew) Edwards, her stepfather Elbert Edwards one sister Anna Marie Cooper.

No services are planned for Ms. Cooper.

John Minks

John Dewayne Minks, 49, of Malden, Mo., passed away on July 30. 2017.

Mr. Minks was born on Oct. 7, 1967 in Eureka, CA. He worked as a carpenter for Dwelling Construction and enjoyed fishing, working on cars and electronics.

On December 7, 2012, John married Amber Minks in Corning, Arkansas. She survives.

Also surviving are his two children, Jessica Endsley of Gulf Port, Miss. And Justin Minks of Malden, Mo.; mother, Sandra Kay Walburn of Livingston, LA.; 2 sisters, Kristie Kay Simoneaux of Walker, LA., Shonna Renee Williamson of Dequincy, LA.; and 3 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his father, Chris Dewayne Minks.

No services have been scheduled at this time.
