Patrick Allen Buckley

Patrick Allen Buckley “CHEEZE BURGER’ , 38 of Poplar Bluff passed away Wednesday April 10, 2019 in Poplar Bluff. Patrick was born on Feb. 2, 1981 to Johnny Buckley and Debbie Tucker. Patrick got the nickname Cheeze Burger as a small child, he was always known by his nickname.

He was preceded in death by his father Johnny Ray Buckley a brother Johnny Ray Buckley II, a daughter Kaitlyn May Bowen, his grandparents, several aunts, uncles ,many close friends and loved ones.

Patrick is survived by his mother Debbie Lynn Hubbard, three sons, Dakota Bowen, Randy Hederer, Patrick Buckley, by one daughter Lynnea Matton. Also surviving is one sister Amy Fandrick and husband Wade, one nephew Gregory Ribbing, three nieces Raylynn, Madison and Sabrina Fandrick. One great niece Amarrah Ribbing, and other family and close friends whom Cheeze Burger loved in his own way.

There will be a celebration of life on Friday April 19th at Hendrickson Park in Poplar Bluff at 5:30 p.m. a graveside inurnment will be on Monday April 22, 2019 at 2:45 p.m in the City Cemetery.

Sherry Ann Birdsong

Sherry Ann Birdsong 75 of Poplar Bluff departed this life on Monday April 8, 2019 at The Cedargate in Poplar Bluff. She was born on June 17, 1943 in Poplar Bluff to the late Burnes and Virginia Gowen.

She was a homemaker, and was dearly loved by her family. Survivers include her children, Tina Summers and husband James, Will Berry, Margaret Nelson and husband Carmon, her grandchildren Victoria Webb, Darrell Webb, Paul Berry, Travis Nelson, Tanjeania Nelson, and several great-grandchildren. besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Dennis Gowen.Visitiation will be on Friday April 12th beginning at 11 a.m. at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral . Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Fowler officating. Burial will follow in the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.

Thomas Basil

Thomas Basil 36, of Poplar Bluff departed this life on Saturday April 6, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 29, 1982 in San Antonio Texas to the late Chester and Gloria Basil.

He was of the Catholic faith, he enjoyed his dogs and spending time with his fiance Nicki and his children. Thomas is survived by his fiance Angela (Nicki) Robinson, his children Brooklyn and Dannika Basil, Devonte Hill , daughter Kyra Chapman and stepdaughter Larridy Chapman, one brother William Basil.

No services are planned.

Albert “Bucky” Cevera Andrews

Albert “Bucky” Cevera Andrews passed away at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center unexpectedly Friday, March 22, 2019. Bucky was the eldest son born to Albert “Buck” and Reva (Sprague) Andrews on Feb. 7, 1959 in Poplar Bluff .Albert was baptised in Jesus name and was of the Pentecostal faith. Bucky met his beloved wife, Marla (Reed) Andrews, while she was a waitress at Spencer’s Drive-In. From this union they had three beloved sons, Michael (Sarah) Andrews, Chris Andrews, and Justin (Megan) Andrews. In later years, Bucky was blessed with his fourth son, Dalton Andrews. Bucky’s pride and joy were his three grandchildren Dawson, Gracie and Lillie. These three blessings gave him much happiness, always wanting special hug and kiss from each one. He is also survived by his mother Reva Andrews brother James (Sue) Andrews and sister Debbie (Gary) Williams. many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Bucky was a man of many talents. He provided for his family as an insurance agent and operated Andrews Trucking. Bucky was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with his family and friends. He was one of a kind and had a larger than life storytelling ability. Bucky was blessed with the passion of music, the guitar and drums. Bucky’s favorite pass time was gathering his boys and their families around a bonfire and sharing his love of playing the guitar and drums forever leaving a legacy that will be passed down through the generations to come. Bucky never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need, no man had a bigger heart. He had more friends than a man could count, especially his life long friends-family, Stag and Diane Bates, forever by his side. Family leaving this earth before Bucky was his beloved father Albert (Buck) Andrews Jr. and his precious baby granddaughter Shaelynn Andrews.

Visitation will be on Thursday March 28, 2019 from 11-1 pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel, burial will follow in the Old Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler County.

Albert Bucky Andrews did not just exist in this world, he lived it! Bucky was one of a kind and he will be remembered.

Jerry T Carl

Jerry T Carl , 72 of Poplar Bluff departed this life on March 20, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 11, 1946 to the late Junie M Carl and Elsie M ( Fredrickson) Carl.

He was a farmer and loved visiting with people.

Surviving are his brothers, Ronnie, Steve, and Robert Carl. A special niece Shiela Cagle. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Lynn Drew, his sister Elenor Lynns his brother George Carl.

The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.

Renee Dawn Forshee

Renee Dawn Forshee, 45, of Poplar Bluff departed this life March 18, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center surrounded by her children and loved ones.

Renee was known for her passion and pride. She loved her two children beyond measure and never failed to let anyone know how proud she was to be their mother. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her infectious smile and her loyalty to all of those she loved.

Renee is survived by her mother, Geritty Forshee; daughter, Presley Dennis (Miles Callahan); son, Cole Mensik (SkyLyn); brothers Charles Forshee, Ricky Forshee, Roy Christ; sisters, Tonya Forshee, Betty Forshee and six grandchildren that she adored, Emmalynn Dennis, Virginia Dennis, Lila Dennis, Hunter-Cole Mensik, Paizley Mensik and Liam Mensik.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Forshee

A celebration for close family and friends will take place at a later date.

Mary Lee Berry

Mary Lee Berry ,95 of Poplar Bluff, departed this life on Friday March 15, 2019 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center. She was born on April 17, 1923 to the late James Henry Mosbey and Bessie J Mosbey.

She was married to Lymon Berry he preceded her in death. Later she married Albert Berry ,he also preceded her in death. Having come from a large family she was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters.

Mary spent most of her life in Butler County .She was a member of the South Poplar Bluff General Baptist Church, loved sewing and collecting dolls and angels. She loved telling stories.

Surviving are her children, Jimmy Dale Berry and wife Judy, Jearlene Johnson, Willie Joe Berry and wife Judie, Lymon Lee Berry and wife Mary Jane. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin Tuesday March 19, 2019 at 10 am at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11 am in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Steve Proctor officiating, internment will follow in the Ash Hill Cemetery at Fisk.

Thurma Griffith

Thurma Lee Griffith, 54 of Poplar Bluff departed this life on March 12, 2019 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff. She was born on March 26, 1964 to the late Roy and Bessie (Anderson) Rippee. She was a homemaker and loved her grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed watching the Price Is Right, and was of the Christian Faith.

She is survived by her children Fanci Griffith, Charles Greer, a stepson Roman Griffith by her grandchildren, Aschah Smith, Chelsea Greer, Sarah Smith. Three brothers Charlie Rippee, Bobby Rippee, Billy Rippee, and by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son BJ Greer, by six sisters, Lillie Mae Rippee, Janice Lee Rippee, Sarah TJ Rippee, Edith Paulene Keller, Linda Lou Keller, Cathy Green, by two brothers David Rippee, J.R. Rippee.

The family is planning a memorial service on Thursday March 21, 2019 at Holy Cross Episcopal Church on Main street at 3 pm.
