Vivian Jameson

Vivian Sue Jameson, 69, of Poplar Bluff, passed away March 13, 2018 at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.

She was born on October 13,1948 to the late Zephry and Opal (Cook) Lairson at Poplar Bluff, MO. She had worked at Mo Ark Mold in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed reading and camping. On May 16,1970 she married George. He survives. Also surviving is son Zephry Jameson, brother-in-law; Jerry Jameson, cousins, Raymond and Darla Starling and grandchild; Xander Jameson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zephry and Opal Lairson, Brothers, Denny and Tommy Breece.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 19, 2018, 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, MO.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018, 1:30 pm at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, MO, with Rev. David Tharp and Rev. Carter officiating.

Burial will take place in the Bloomfield Veteran’s Cemetery.

Norman Richmond

Monday, March 12th, 2018

Norman Lincoln Richmond, 90, of Grandin, passed away on March 11, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
He was born on January 14, 1928 to the late Albert and Fay (Huling) Richmond at Ripley County, MO. Norman worked as a Custodian for John J. Pershing Veteran’s Hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Southside Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed hunting, raising and breaking horses. He had traveled with Anheuser Busch and took care of the Clydesdale horses.
October18, 1956 he married Ethel Jeanette Fletcher. After twelve years of married, she preceded him in death. On January 15, 1972 he married Harriet Marie Richmond (Carpenter) in Carter County, MO. She survives. Also surviving are five daughters, Norma Richmond, Mary (David) Maple, Shannon Richmond Hurst, Sharon Wright, Ruth (Glenn) Gutterman; Son, Daniel Richmond; eight grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren; three Great-great-grandchildren; Brother, Floyd Richmond and Sister, Doris Schmaltz.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of twelve years, Ethel Jeanette Fletcher, Father, Albert Richmond, Mother, Fay Richmond(Huling), Daughter, Debbie Roberts, Daughter-in-law, Sheila Honeycutt Richmond, Son-in-law, Kenny Wright, Sister, Goldie Wagner, Brothers Alvin , Lester and Harlon Richmond.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 16, 2018, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, MO.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018, 12:00 pm at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, MO, with Pastor Jerry Lemons, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Stephens Cemetery on K Hwy in Ripley County.

Olive Yvonne Whittom

Monday, March 5th, 2018

Olive Yvonne Whittom, 80 of Poplar Bluff passed away Sunday March 4, 2018 at Westwood  Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.

She was born on December 28, 1937  in Callaway Nebraska to the late Reuban and Dorothy (Miles) Holdeman. On July 31, 1955 she was united in marriage to David Whittom in Kearney Nebraska he survives.

She  was a member of Agee Fellowship Church, she loved crochet, watching Cardinal baseball, spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.

Along with her husband she is survived by her children, Dale Whittom and wife Lisa, Senya Dobbs and husband Clyde, Norman Whittom and wife Tina. Two brothers Orville and Norman Holdeman.  Ten grand and ten great granchildren also survive.

Preceding her in death was  her parents, a granddaughter, Ashley Dawn Whittom and  step-mother Jennie Holdeman.

Visitiation will from 6 till 8 pm on Thursday March 8, 2018 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral home.

Funeral services will held at 10 am Friday March 9, 2018 at Agee Fellowship Church with Rev. Jim Schremp officating internment will follow in the Three Springs Cemetery.

The family request memorials can be made to the Agee Gym fund.

Dennis Soice

Dennis Soice, 66 of Poplar Bluff passed away February 26,2018 at his home.  Mr. Soice was born September 17, 1951 in Niles, Michigan.  

He was a Vietnam Veteran who served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971.  

There will be military rites for Mr. Soice 11am Wednesday, February 28,2018 at the Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO

Dennis Talley

Monday, February 26th, 2018

Dennis Ray Talley, 63 of Poplar Bluff, passed away February 24, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on February 1, 1955 to the late Carson and Jean (Chilton) Ellis at Red Bluff, CA. On August 4, 1978 he married Ica Smith. She preceded him in death.

He was owner operator of T & T Cleaning Services, and was a volunteer fireman for Butler County in 1980-1985. He enjoyed fishing and more fishing, auctions, scrapping, buying storage buildings and spending time with family

Dennis is survived by his significant other, Karen Parsons; Three Daughters, Billie Jo Stamps(Bobby), Teri (Richard) Talley, Felicia Parsons; Son, Josh (Angel) Parsons; Grandson, Carson (C.J.) Talley; Three Granddaughters, Kimberly Talley, Rochelle “Buttercup” Parsons, Anna; sister, Carolyn Sullivan; Brother, D.J. (Jaime) Ellis; two sister-in-laws, Carolyn Talley, Mary Ann Polin; Three Nieces, Mary Jean Bishop, Sherry Fouts, Vickie Talley; Five Nephews, David (Tammy) Gholson, Dwain (Shelley) Gholson, Kenny (Mechelle) Sullivan, Jimmy Talley, Doug Talley; 21 great-nieces and nephews;10 great-great nieces and nephews; sidekick, Tony Boyd; Special friend, Perry James.

He was preceded in death by Wife, Ica Denise Talley, Father, Carson Talley, Mother, Jean Ellis, step-father, Carroll Ellis, Brother, James Talley, Brother, Jimmy Talley, brother-in-law, Dale Sullivan, Niece, Debra Talley.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff with the funeral service to begin at 6pm with Kenneth King officiating.
Mr. Talley’s wishes were to be cremated following the service.  The family asks that you please keep that in mind when ordering flowers.

Floyd Venable

Floyd Venable, 79  of Poplar Bluff passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on May 2, 1938 in San Fernando Valley, California to the late Reaves and Cassie (Wilfong) Venable.

He was married to Lois (Hall) Venable in 1961,  she preceded him in death in 1995.  In 1997 he met his beloved Billie Jean she survives.

Also surviving is one sister Mary Jane Smith, two brothers  Leroy, and Howard Venable. Linda Rae Pipkins and JD Phipps whom he considered as his own children.  He had retired as a building painter.

Floyd enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to Johnny Cash music, traveling, and most of all getting together for family outings.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Nadine Williams, Thelma Hall, Bertha Venable, Zetta Bruyere, by three brothers Paul, Reaves Jr., and Fred Venable.

Visitation will be held on Friday February 23, 2018 from 10:30 am till 11.30 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.

Donald Oneal Teague, 63 of Neelyville, passed away on February 18, 2018.

He was born on September 26, 1954 to James and Dora (Spearman) Teague at Harviell, MO. Donald worked as a Contractor.

He was a member of Agape House of Worship in Neelyville.

Donald is survived by his sons Darrick Teague Sr, Travis Buels, Daughter, Bianca Hitchock,Two Sisters, Gloria Steele, Beverly Stroman, Brother, Bobby Teague; Three Grandsons, Darrick Teague, Jr., Dominick Teague, Qwynton Rawls; Granddaughter, De-Asia Teague; Great-grandson, Donavan Teague.

He was preceded in death by Wife, Garnett Teague, Mother, Dora Teague, Father, James Ulysses Teague, brothers; Herman Teague, Freddie Teague, James Theodis Teague, Earl Teague; sisters, Shirley Jones, Helen Johnson and Janie Bowens; grandsons Jeremiah and Messiah Riggins,

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018, 10:00 am at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, MO.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018, 11:00 am at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, MO, with Pastor Darnell McComb officiating.
The family will be holding a prayer candle light vigil Friday, February 23, on C hwy near the accident sight and Rice trailer mfg.

Ellen Lorraine Trout

Ellen Lorraine Trout 61, of Poplar Bluff, departed this life on February 15, 2018 at her residence. She was born  December 21, 1956 in Chicago, Ill. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed playing bingo, having coffee with friends.

Ellen is survived by her mother Mary Hollis, two sons Mark A. King Jr. and Micheal Joe Harris. Sisters Linda Hanner, Deanna Diehl, and Debbie Kirby. Brothers, Kenny Bertholomey, and Delbert Bertholomey. One grandchild Parker King. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Bertholomey Sr. a sister Carolyn Meyers, and a brother Charles Bertholomey.

Visitation will be held Saturday Feb. 17, 2018 at 10am at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will  follow at 12 p.m. with Jeff Linson  officiating.  Burial will be at City Cemetery.

He was born on July 15, 1942 at Poplar Bluff, MO.

Jennie May Davidson

Jennie May Davidson, 90 of Poplar Bluff passed away on Sunday Feb. 11, 2018 at the Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar

 Bluff. She was born on April 24, 1927 to the late Ben and Salley (Conover) Stephens.

On August 6, 1946 she was united in marriage to David Davidson Sr. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1992.

She retired from Duckett Trucking Center, she was a faithful member of The North point Church Of The Nazarene in Poplar Bluff, where she had been a choir leader, church secretary, and worked with the World Missions Dept.

She is survived by her son David Davidson Jr. and wife Linda, a daughter Norma Butler. three sisters, Barbara Britton, Bessie Edwards, Sharon Welsh. One brother Neal Stephens. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. a host of nieces and nephews also survive

She also leaves behind a special Brother-In-law Francis Miller.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Maisie Hendricks, Ella Lee Osborn, Jean Jones, Ester Miller. by two brothers, Charles Stephens, Albert Stephens.

Visitation will be from 6 til 8 pm on Monday Feb.12, 2018  at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, family and friends will gather at New Oak Hill Cemetery on Tuesday Feb.13, at 11 am for Graveside services with Pastor Greg Gilberto officating, internment will follow in the New Oak Hill Cemetery.
