Aileen Summers, 81, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, December 30, 201, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Visitation will begin 6 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar Street Poplar Bluff. Funeral will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bob Fry officiating. Burial to follow in the City Cemetery.
Mrs. Summers was born Oct. 26, 1930 in Steele, Mo., to the late H.L. Easley and Lucille ( Holland) Easley. She lived most of her life in Butler County. She was a member of Poplar Bluff Full Gospel Fellowship Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. On October 8, 1948, she was married to Bill Summers. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sharon Hefner.
Surviving are her children; Bob Summers and fiance' Karla Ward, and Joe Summers and wife Lori, all of Fisk; Wayne Summers and wife, Melodie and Terry Summers all of Poplar Bluff. Three sisters; Margie Armes of Poplar Bluff, Ruth James of Jonesboro, and Carolyn Muller of Barnhart, Mo.; one brother, Ray Easley of Qulin, Mo; Six grandchildren; Scott Smith, Justin Summers, Eric Summers, Darren Summers, Anthony Summers, and Dana Taylor; and seven great-grandchildren
