Alberta Whitehead, 89, of Neelyville, Missouri passed away at her residence April 14, 2012. She was born April 17, 1922 at Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Fred Anderson and Franky Walker Anderson.
On March 22, 1946 at Corning, Arkansas she was married to James Whitehead. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1962.
She is survived by: Two sons, James Whitehead of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Ken Whitehead of Neelyville, Missouri. Three sisters, Katherine Moffitt and husband Issac of Muskegon, Michigan, Mary Betheal of Benton Harbor, Michigan and Loretta Whitehead of Benton Harbor, Michigan. One brother, William Anderson of Kansas City, Missouri. Sixteen grandchildren, Twenty five great grandchildren and Thirteen Great Great Grandchildren also survive.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents as well as four children Son Robert Whitehead, daughters, Maezener Grandberry, Joyce Ann Whitehead and Roberta Turner.
She was a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Neelyville, Missouri. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. Alberta has been a resident of the Bulter County since 1939.
Visitation for Mrs. Whitehead will be Friday April 20, 2012 starting at 11:00 a.m. in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Missouri. The funeral will start at 12:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home with Rev William Anderson and Rev. Johnny Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Neelyville Cemetery following services.
