Billy Justin Blagg, 81, of Harviell, Mo. passed away July 23, 2012 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at Houston, Texas.
Mr. Blagg was born December 9, 1931 at Grubbs Arkansas to the late William Harrison Blagg and Edith (Odglen) Blagg. He had lived in Butler County since 1957. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked in education for 30 years. He was a coach and the last 16 years was a Superintendent of Schools. Mr. Blagg also served on the TRC Trustees Board. He enjoyed playing golf and loved all sports, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks.
On August 26, 1953 he was married to Willine (Runsick) Blagg at Grubbs, Arkansas. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Belinda Greenwood, of Nashville, Tn., LouCinda Hecht and husband, Hanno of Katy, Tx., Rebecca Thomas and husband, Leslie of Neelyville; one sister, Alta Williamson of Searcy, Ar.; grandchildren, Lance Corporal Nicolas Hecht, Mitchell Thomas, Katie Thomas and Jordan Thomas.
Mr. Blagg is preceded in death by his parents and one son-in-law, Larry Greenwood.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar St., Poplar Bluff, Mo., followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens at Poplar Bluff.
