Bobby Watkins Obituary

Bobby Watkins of Oxly, Missouri died April 3, 2012 at Current River Nursing Center.

He was born January 13, 1943 in Dyer County Tennessee to Bill and Emma Watkins, who preceded him in death.

On May 5, 1962 he married Matilda Mannina in Chicago, Illinois. They moved to Doniphan in 1968, where they operated a grocery store near the Country Club.

Bobby leaves behind his wife, Matilda and one son Robert and wife, Tammy of Henderson, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren Kyle and Hannah Watkins of Henderson, Tennessee and Ryan Johnson of Fairdealing, Missouri.

Also surviving are two brothers, Gary Watkins and wife, Peggy of Doniphan, Missouri and Clyde Watkins and wife, Mary of Paris, Tennessee and four sisters, Margie Crawford of Cleveland, Tennessee, Barbara Patterson of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Joan Benson and husband Gary, of Rogers, Arkansas and Debbie Sage and husband Bob, of Rogers, Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel at in Neelyville, Mo. on Friday April 6, 2012 at 10:00 am with funeral starting at 11:00 am at Neelyville. Internment will be in the Anitoch Cemetery near Oxly, Missouri following services. Donnie Fowler Officiating.
