Charles Arthur Waggoner, 81, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Monday April 1, 2013, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Waggoner was born September 13, 1931 in Gays, Ill. He married Joyce Hicks on May 26, 1954, in Hernando, Mississippi. She survives.
Mr. Waggoner is also survived by a daughter, Linda Seats; two brothers; Francis and Ray Waggoner; one grandchild, Radeena Clark; and five great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Proffer, Ealie York, Zach and Brittany Lafferty and Jerry Mote.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, Max and Florence (Gardner) Waggoner; and a sister, Wilma Hopson.
Mr. Waggoner served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Sears Youth Center. He enjoyed playing music and games with family and friends.
Visitation will be at 6p.m. Friday April 5, 2013, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will begin at 10a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the chapel with Bro. Arvin Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Kinsey Cemetery.
