Christy Kneir

Christy Lynn Kneir, age 40, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Kneir was born May 14, 1972, in Poplar Bluff and had previously lived in Maryland and Virginia. She was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church.

She was a surgical tech at Poplar Bluff Medical Partners. She enjoyed reading and working in the yard. She loved driving her new car and loved being with her grandchildren.

On May 22, 2004, she was married to Kevin Kneir in Poplar Bluff. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Amber Burgett, Lehanne Burgett, Krystal Kneir, Charlie Kneir, David Kneir, and Anna Kneir all of Poplar Bluff, Shayne Burgett of Virginia and Robert Burgett, stationed with the U.S.Army in Saudi Arabia; her parents, David and Lana Glaze of Poplar Bluff; her birth mother, Eddi Burch, grandmother, Betty Glaze, father-in-law, Charles Kneir of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Darla Presler and husband, Michael of Neelyville, Mo.; one brother, James Hughey of Williamsville, Mo.; grandchildren, Jacob Warren Kneir and Noah Sansoucie; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Henrietta Lee; her grandfather, Dennis Glaze and her great-grandparents, Henry and Cecil Batts.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012, at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 3200 Warrior Lane, Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the church with Pastor Brian Sharp officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Poplar Bluff.
