Clyde Melbon Silkwood, 76, of Naylor, Mo. passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Silkwood was born on June 4, 1940 in Coon Island, Mo. He worked at Rowe Furniture and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
On December 31, 1966, he married Janet Faith
Aubuehon in St. Louis, Mo. She preceded him in death on Monday, July, 2014.
Also preceding him in death are, his parents, Carl and Omah Silkwood; sisters, Carlene Gowen and Silvia Silkwood; and brothers, Doyle and Jerry Silkwood.
Survivors include, his children, Jimmy Silkwood and wife Michelle of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; Tim Silkwood & wife Donna of Naylor, Mo., Jeff Silkwood and Bud Silkwood both of Paragould, AR., and one step-son Terry Angle of Il.; sisters, Carolyn Evola of St. Louis, Bernice Silman of Naylor, Elda Silkwood of Naylor; brother, Charles Silkwood of Oxly, Mo; 7 grandchildren, Jesseca, Brittany, Destiny, Alyssa, Timothy, Eatham, Shealynn, , and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 10:00-12:00p.m. at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. The funeral will follow at 12 noon in the chapel with Rev. Bud Beecher officiating. Burial will take place at Coon Island Cemetery in Neelyville.
