Dale Lee Sullivan, 67, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
The son of Luther F. "Sonny" Sullivan and Alma (Shearrer) Sullivan, Dale was born April 19, 1949 in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of New Home General Baptist Church. He had worked as a plumber, served as Fire Chief of Butler County and former owner of Sullivan’s Café of 14 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dogs, and bird watching.
He married Carolyn (Talley) Sullivan August 6, 1977 in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Kenny Sullivan (Mechelle), David Gholson (Tammie), and Dwain Gholson (Shelley); special family members, DJ, Jaime, Hayle and Joey Ellis; 8 grandchildren, Morgan, Ryan, Tyler, and Caden Gholson, Kaylin and Maddie Sullivan, Christian Brown (Jessica), and Bailey Brown; 3 great-grandchildren, Austyn Gholson and Karter and Konner Brown; one sister, Margaret Stewart; 4 brothers, Roger Sullivan (Cynthia), Jerry Sullivan, Luther Sullivan (Helen) and Robert Sullivan (Judy); as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Wythia Sullivan and Louise Sullivan.
Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at New Home General Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m., at the church, with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Gresham Cemetery in Carter County.
