David Vannoy Obituary


David Ray Vannoy,age 72, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Vannoy was born June 25, 1940 in Hiram, Mo. to the late David Clem and Erma (Costephens) Vannoy. He had formerly lived in Wayne County. He retired from ABF Trucking and raised cattle, loved horses and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.

On March 23, 2002 he married Carolyn Vannoy at Hiram, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Linda Vannoy and husband, Leo Cruz and Ray Vannoy and wife, Teresa; his sisters, Margie Allen, Mary Gains, Marie Yount, JoAnn Morphew, and Sandra Kay Anderson; one brother, Harold "Rover" Vannoy; granddaughter, Brittany Vannoy; step-grandchildren, Emily, Maeghan and Tristan Taylor and his mother-in-law Gladys Clifton.

Also preceding him in death include one sister, Wilma Lou Vannoy; four brothers, Wayne Vannoy, Jimmy Vannoy, Robert Vannoy and Otto Vannoy.

Visitation will be held from 12 (noon) to 2 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013, follow by funeral services at 2 p.m. at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo., with the Rev. Larry Jordan officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Ar.
