Denver W. Joplin, 74, of Oxly, Mo. passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014.
Mr. Joplin was born September 14, 1939, in Grandin, Mo., to the late Herbert H. and Margaret Elizabeth (Smith) Joplin.
He was a cattle farmer and enjoyed going to cattle sales, visiting with his "sale buddy's" and hunting. He loved family gathering for barbeque and loved to work.
On April 13, 1963, he married Glenda Lee (Tettleton) Joplin in Doniphan, Mo. She survives.
He is also survived by his children; daughter, Tammy Sullivan and husband, Steve and two sons, Denver "Wayne" Joplin and wife, Lisa and Garry Joplin; 8 grandchildren, Miranda Sullivan, Melissa (Sullivan) Arrington (Josh), Makayla Sullivan, Josh Joplin (Moriah), Jake Joplin, Brandon Joplin, Nathan Joplin, and Jon Joplin, and just like a son, Willie Stull, as well as one brother, Larry Joplin (Glenda).
He is also preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Joplin and a sister, Dixie Spencer.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014, in the chapel, with Rev. Ted Elledge officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Doniphan, Mo.
