Don Edwards

Donald Augustus Edwards, 74 of Piedmont Missouri passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in the comfort of his daughter's home.

He was born in Hickory Flat, Mississisppi in 1936, son of the late Clyde Augustus Edwards and Addie Bee Edwards who still survives. He and Edith Mae Bell were married on November 9, 1957 in Arkansas.

Don served in the Air Force as a Staff Sgt. for 12 years. He worked as a aircraft mechanic at McDonald Douglas before finishing out his career as a carpenter.

He is survived by one sister Rebecca ( Douglas) Dinkins, and two brothers, Jack (Kathy) Edwards and Jerry (Martha) Edwards. He was preceded in death by one brother Marvin (Addie Mae) Edwards.

He has four daughters, Vicci Ott, Becky Beatty, Teresa Graham, and Beverly (Wally) Meyer.

He was most proud of his grandchildren, which he considered the roots, rather than the limbs of his family tree, Heather(Jeff) Brockert, Markelle Graham, Olivia Meyer, Jack Meyer, and the newest member, great-granddaughter Stella Grace Brockert. He was preceded in death by his grandson Thomas Augustus Ott.

Don Edwards will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a heck of a man with a heart of gold who loved every moment of life and went out with his boots on.
