Dorothy Armor

Dorothy Mae Armor, 91, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Armor was born December 7, 1921, in Hamilton, Ohio and formerly lived in Flint, Michigan. She was a member of the Fellowship General Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She loved being with her family and her church family.

On October 17, 1948, she was married to Harvey "Jack" Armor in Hamilton, Ohio. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2009.

Surviving are her children, Jack D. Armor and wife, Edith, and Don C. Armor, all of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, Heather Spencer and husband, Andrew, of Poplar Bluff and Tracy Carlton and husband, Bob, of Naylor; six great-grandchildren, Craig Spencer, Alexandrea Spencer, Tessa Spencer, Dakota Carlton, Scott Carlton and Danielle Carlton.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucian Flannery and Hazel (Henley) Flannery and one sister, Beulah Allen.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in the chapel with the Rev. Byron Beck officiating. Burial in the City Cemetery.
