Elvin Spencer, 70, of Neelyville, Mo. died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Spencer was born Oct. 16, 1944 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He worked as a farmer and worked at a sawmill. He was a lifelong resident of Butler County and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his grandchildren.
On February 8, 1964 he married Dorothy Muller in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She survives.
Besides his wife, also surviving are his children, Eddie Spencer, and Lisa Spencer, both of Harviell, Mo., Scott Spencer and wife Tammy of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one sister, Jewell Birdsong, of Harviell, Mo.; one brother, George Spencer Sr. of Harviell, Mo.; 6 grandchildren, Michael, Taylor, Shelly, Britney, Dustin, Lane; and 4 great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Alexandria, Katlin, and Zackary.
Preceding him in death are his parents, George Spencer and Betty Wilson Spencer; two sisters, Mary Brooks and Carolyn Daves; and three brothers, Bill Joe Spencer, Donald Gene Spencer, and Melvin Spencer.
A Graveside service will take place Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Spencer Cemetery.
