Floyd Earl Burns, 77, of Naylor, Missouri passed away March 2, 2017 in the Westwood Hills Nursing Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was born December 26, 1939 at Essex, Missouri to the late Elmer and Lydia Burns.
He is survived by his children, Debbie Duhon of Corning, Arkansas, Don Burns and wife, Sherry of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Stephanie Pennington and husband, Joey of Harviell, Missouri, his special companion Shirley Crowell; two Sisters, Billie Jean Phipps and Patricia (Toots) Forsythe; one brother, Louie (Pat) Burns, as well as his grandchildren, Chuck Hunter, Chris Hunter, Dylan Pennington, Marcus Pennington, Bre Pennington, Alex Burns, and Grant Burns; great-grandchild, Jacoby Pennington. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Barbara Wells Turner.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Beau Duhon, as well as sisters, Imogene McDaniel, Lucille Shephard and Mary Belle Wilson and three brothers, Jim Burns, John Burns and Leon (Dewey) Burns.
He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed watching cowboys on TV, spending time with family, horse riding and trucking.
Visitation will be Monday, March 6, 2017 starting at 11:00 am with the funeral following at 1:00 p.m. in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial l Chapel of Neelyville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery at Bloomfield, Missouri with Brother Rob Duckett officiating.
