Frank Kelly Obituary


Frank Howard Kelly, 84, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away on February 6, 2017 at the John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Kelly was born on February 9, 1932. He worked as an Iron Worker and enjoyed feeding fish in Tony’s Lake and spending time in the outdoors. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

On February 17, 1959, Frank married Betty Ann Ferguson. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Barbara Yarber of Doniphan, Mo.; Tony Kelly of Ellsinore, Mo., Laura Turner of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Kevin Kelly of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; sisters, Shirley Golden of Poplar Bluff, Judy Campbell of FL., Allene O’brien of Tallahassee FL., Ruthie Parks of Belgrade, Mo.; brothers, Steve Womack of Poplar Bluff, David, Levi Womack of Farmington, Mo., and David Womack of Portageville, Mo.; as well as 19 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Debra Kay Snider; 1 infant child, Frankie Jr.; parents, Frank and Clara Womack; as well as 1 sister and 5 brothers.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 from 11:00 - 1:00 at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. The funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Gary Hancock. Burial will take place at Brown Chapel in Broseley, Mo.
