Harold Hager, 88, of Harviell, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his home.
He was born December 6, 1926, in Poplar Bluff, to the late John Walter ad Vivian (Rice) Hager. He enjoyed yard sales, flea markets and going to the sale barn. He was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church and served as song leader and Sunday school teacher. He had been a reserve deputy sheriff and worked in the security department for Doctors Hospital.
On November 10, 1945 he married Irene (Hester) Hager. She survives. They were married 69 years.
Others survivors include two sons, Roger Hager (Regina) and Steve Hager (Becky); four brothers, Howard Hager, Ben Hager, Jim Hager and Bill Hager; four grandchildren, Miranda Sievert, Brian Hager, Eric Hager and Sean Hager; as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Von Kirkman and Rev. Don Hutto officiating. Burial will be in the Cochran Cemetery.
