Imogene Alice Gilliland, 84, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at the Manor in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Gilliland was a homemaker. She was born Oct. 29, 1929, in Naylor, Mo. She married Phillip Gilliland May 25, 1949, in Pocahontas, Ark. He survives.
Her hobbies were quilting, decorating the church, canning, sewing for the grandchildren, writing letters to friends and family and cooking. She was a member of the Naylor Church of Christ.
Other survivors are one daughter, Linda Shea and husband, Glen, of Grand Junction, CO., one sister, Lillian Leroux; a sister-in-law, Betty Woolard of Grand Junction, CO.; a brother, Joe Lee Woolard and wife, Zuna, of Neelyville; five grandchildren, Shad L., Mundy L., Temperance A., Rebecca J., and Clifford E. Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Erin L., McKendra L., Ammon J., Martha A., Claudia M., Emma Jean L.L. and Robert Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete Woolard and Mildred Camp Woolard; one sister, Lillian Clark Leroux; and one brother, Harold Woolard.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday a the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel. Minister will be Wilburn Baucom. Burial will be in the Naylor Memorial Cemetery. Donations may be to the Foundation for the Blind Specifying for Retinitis Pigmentosa.
