James Earl Jackson, 80, of Wappapello, passed away Sunday October 3, 2010 at his home. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Wed. Oct. 6, 2010 followed by funeral services at 12 noon at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Burial in Black Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Jackson was born September 23, 1930, and formerly resided in St. Louis. He was a retired Stone Mason and was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
On January 25, 1995, he was married to Mary Young Jackson, in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Also surviving are children Shelly Kunkel, St. Louis; Terry Jackson, Florida, Debbie Johnson, Pevely, Mo.; Lisa Page, Wappapello, Debbie Jones, Wappepello. Four sisters, Flora Rice, Waterloo, Ill.; Lois Plunk, Harviell. Alice Winter, Washington, Mo.; two brothers Jerry Jackson, Doniphan, and Dean Jackson, Doniphan.
Eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren survive.
