Jimmy Louis Burson, 46, of Neelyville, Mo., died at 6:49 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Burson was born June 8, 1966, in Poplar Bluff. He was a lifelong resident of Butler County and was a commercial and home electrician. He enjoyed shooting guns, riding four-wheelers, camping and wood-working. Mr. Burson had been in the U.S. Navy from 1988 to 1990 and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
On July 29, 2011, he married Trudy Hogan in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include his children, Ashley N. Burson of Poplar Bluff and Jake L. Burson, Jessica M. Carter, Shelby N. Carter and Kenny D. Taylor, all of Neelyville; his parents, Michael Burson and Shirley Alliston Burson, both of Neelyville; sister, Rhonda Burson of Neelyville; brother, Keith Burson of Poplar Bluff; and two grandchildren, Terrance Pullum and Annabelle Pullum.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the chapel with Elder Terry Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Kinsey Cemetery near Harviell, Mo.
