Marie Townsend

Marie Townsend, daughter of Charles Conley and Eliza Perkins Conley, was born August 18, 1920 at Neelyville, Missouri. She departed this life on November 5, 2010, at Poplar bluff, Missouri. She lived 90 years 2 months and 13 days. Her services will be on Tuesday November 9, 2010 at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Missouri. Visitation will began at 11:00 am with the service starting at 1:00 p.m. the burial will be in the Poplar Bluff city cemetery. Rev. Gary McCain Will be officiating

On December 1, 1940 she was married to William Townsend. He departed this life on December 8, 2005.. She is also preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Jean Townsend Johnson. She loved her family, friends and her job as as Cook at the High School . she was active in her church where she was a member of the choir, served on the usher board, and served as church treasurer.

She leaves behind one son-in-law, Luther Johnson Sr. of Neelyville, Mo. four grandchildren, Nicki Johnson of Poplar Bluff, Mo.. Luther Johnson Jr. of Neelyville, Mo. and James and his wife Melissa Johnson of Poplar Bluff, mo. and DeShawn West of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. 3 great grandchildren, WhitneyRae Turnerof Jefferson City. Mo, William Gage Johnson of Elsinore, Mo. and Myles Clinon Johnson of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and one great great grandchild. A'mi'Jae Robert Dai'Shaun Turner as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
