Mildred Rose Anna Shivley, 81, of DuQuion, Ill., passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Fairview Nursing Home in DuQuion.
Mrs. Shivley was born November 29, 1932, in Neelyville, Mo., to the late Pleas and Freedonia Oakes.
She was married to Raymond Shivley on March 31, 1972. He preceded her in death in 1997. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her three children, Terry Gibbs and wife, Kathy, Randy Shivley and wife, Angie, Freda Brandibas and husband, Steve; as well as a step-daughter, Genise Smallwood and husband, Jim; three sisters, Daisy Shivley, Lois Smith, and Viola Hover and a brother, Fred Oakes and wife, Joyce; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by one brother, Roy Oakes and four sisters, Florence Shaffer, Mary Burson, Lilly Baltimore, and Irene Handerink.
Visitation will be held 9 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff followed funeral services at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Ralph Mayes officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
