Nannalee Dollins, formerly of Poplar Bluff, MO., passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at White County Memorial Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas.
Born May 18, 1924 in Burr, Mo., she was the daughter of T.M. and Mabel Shaver. Nannalee graduated from high school in 1945 and later attended Poplar Bluff Business College. She began work at the Lucy Lee Hospital as a secretary to the late Dr. James McPheeters.
She chose to be a stay-at-home mother in 1963, but went back to work as a secretary for the Poplar Bluff School System in the food service department in 1969 and continued there until she retired in 1977.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Dollins. who passed away in 2008.
She is survived by two sons, Rod Dollins of Troy, Mo. and Greg Dollins of Searcy, Ark.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother A.C. Shaver and sister-in-law Dean Shaver of Pocahontas, Ark.; two sisters-in-law, Minnie Cosby and Anne Dollins, both of Neelyville, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Virgil Brake of Neelyville.
She was a faithful member of the Highland Drive Church of Christ in Poplar Bluff.
Due to family health concerns, Nannalee and her husband, Robert, moved to Searcy in 2006.
