Ona Mae Whittenburg, 90, of Caruthersville, Mo., passed away Sunday September 22, 2013 at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, Mo.
Mrs. Whittenburg was born September 16, 1923 in Pat, Oklahoma, to the late Claude and Roxie (Carter) Spangler.
She was married to Charlie Whittenburg. He preceded her in death. She attended the Zion Lutheran Church and was a former owner of The Jewel Theater.
She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Harlan and Deborah Hicks and a daughter-in-law, Fay Whittenburg; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death includes daughter, Ona Marie Whittenburg and son, Charles "Butch" Whittenburg.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating. Burial in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
