Ora Lee Standeford, 73, of Poplar Bluff passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at her residence. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wed. at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Ellsinore, Mo. with Elder Eddie Conover officiating. Burial in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Ellsinore, Mo.
Mrs. Standeford was born Dec. 27, 1937, in Troy, Mo. She was a former resident of Veneta, Ore. and Dexter, Mo. She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking cakes, gardening and scrapbooking. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church at Ellsinore, Mo., where she was very active and served as church clerk for several years.
On May 8, 1954, she married George Standeford in Eugene, Ore., he survives. Other survivers include two daughters, Robin Robinson and husband Randy, of dexter, Mo., and Sherry Vance and husband, Kelley, of Poplar Bluff; five sons, Tony Standeford, Robert Standeford, Gary Standeford, all of Poplar Bluff, Tim Standeford and Merlin Standeford, both of Veneta, Ore., two sisters, Veeta Farris of Washington State and Nancy Dugan of Eugene, Ore.; two brothers, Euler Dunlap of Springfield, Ore., and Inman Dunlapp of Veneta, Ore.; 14 grandchildren, Mindy Thurlkill, James Robinson, Tony Standeford, Coleena Standeford, Austin Standeford Joshua Standeford, Chris Standeford, Chasy Standeford, Cory Standeford, Andrew Standeford, Melissa Urein, Lindsey Vance, Stephanie Davis and Kelsey Vance; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery Dunlap and Sybil (Hampton) Dunlap, one son, Rodney Standeford, three sisters, Nadine Thompson, Elda Lewis and Freda Eschilman, and one brother, Vincent Dunlap.
