Robert Joseph Cooper, 57, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. Cooper was born November 19, 1956 in St. Genevieve, Mo. to the late Howard and Alice (Brake) Cooper. He worked at the Department of Mental Health and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He loved watching boxing and loved his family.
On June 21, 1976 he married Karen Goodwin in St. Genevieve, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Bobby Joe Cooper and Jason Ray Cooper of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Peggy Ford- Sandate and Judy Hodges; two brothers, Gary Cooper and George Ford; five grandchildren, Courtney, Dalton, Shelby, Gabriel and Cheyenne.
He is also preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Brake.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Living Word Church, Township Line Rd., Poplar Bluff, Mo. with John Harwell officiating.
