Robert Francis Greer, age 29, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away February 20, 2013 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Greer was born September 11, 1983 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
He was a fanatic about Cardinal Baseball and loved attending the games. He also enjoyed wrestling, hunting and fishing, and was a mentor for Big Brothers and Sisters. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and was employed by Home Depot in Poplar Bluff, of which he considered his second home. He loved his job as much as he loved the Cardinals.
Survivors include his mother, Thurma (Rippee) Griffith Mills; his sisters, Fanci Griffith, Laura Greer, Teresa Greer, Jenifer, Susan and Jessica; brother, Charles Greer; five nieces, Aschah and Sarah Smith, Chelsea, Rayne and Hailie; his uncles J.R. Rippee, Bobby Rippee, Charlie Rippee, Billy Rippee, and Steve Jonesy Green; aunts, Cathy Green and Sharron Rippee; great-aunt, Zella M. Cox; great-uncles, Jamie Anderson,Thomas Anderson and Walter Anderson.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bruce Greer; grandparents, Roy and Bessie Rippee and Charles and Viola Greer.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo., followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Chuck Clark officiating. Burial in the Kinsey Cemetery.
