Sandra Whitmer Obituary

Sandra Sue Whitmer, 70, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Whitmer was born August 12, 1945 in St. Louis County, Mo. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. A homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, yard sales and going to the sale barn. She loved doing church activities.

Survivors include her children, Stanley Carl Whitmer (Freda), Rebecca Sue Whitmer (Donnie Davis), Janice Vincent (Ron), Raymond Whitmer (Theresa), and April LeGrand (Melvin); two sisters, Pat Roach and Margie Miller, and one brother, Jack Rusert; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Virginia Rusert; one son, Alex Loftis; a very special father to her children, James Kazzee; one brother, Carl Sonny Rusert, and one granddaughter, Haley Whitmer.

Visitation will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at Memorial Baptist Church on Ditch Road in Poplar Bluff. Funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with Bro. Dennis Ward officiating.
