Shirley Vona Jean Turner, 77, of Neelyville, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Turner was born September. 21, 1937 in Naylor, Mo. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of the Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Neelyville, Mo. She enjoyed flowers, traveling, animals, yard sales, her children, and working on the farm with her husband and family.
On November 18, 1954 she married Norman Wayne Turner in Naylor, Mo. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1987.
Survivors include her children, Darrell Wayne Turner, of Harviell, Mo., Linda Jean Jordan and husband Tim, of Neelyville, Mo.; one sister, Shelba Turner, of Neelyville, Mo.; five grandchildren, Rachel, Jeannie, Chanda, Wayne, Shonda; Three great-grandchildren, Luke, Miranda, and William.
Besides her husband also preceding her in death is, one son, Donald Esselman Turner; her parents, Daniel Eli Wertenberger and Birdie Lee Hall; and three brothers, William Wertenburger, Frank Wertenburger, and Daniel Earl Wertenburger.
Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday October 3, 2014 in the Chapel. Burial will be held a Naylor Memorial Cemetery.
