Thelma Mae Hicks, 81, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Friday, December 27, 2013, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Hicks was born July 25, 1932, in Butler County. She was a seamstress her entire life. She was a volunteer at the VA Hospital and loved bowling and sewing.
On October 11, 1975, she married Ralph Hicks in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death in October 2007.
Surviving are two sons, Bruce Bell and Dennis Bell and a granddaughter, Destiny Bell.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lawerence and Mattie (Thurman) Seesengood and two brothers, Edward and Elmer Seesengood.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ralph Mayes will officiate. A private burial will be in Bays Spring Cemetery.
