William F. Yeley, 55, of Poplar Bluff passed from this life Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. A funeral ceremony will be at 5pm Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness 500 Hwy NN in Poplar Bluff. Jearl Griffin will officiate. Doors will open at 4pm
William was born March 13, 1955 in Poplar Bluff. He was a loyal employee of Gates Rubber for 24 yrs. where he made many good friends. He loved playing with his four granddaughters and riding his motorcycle. He was a wonderful husband, grandpa, son and brother. On July 4, 1976 he was married to Jean A. Werfelman. She survives.
Also surviving is a son; Adam Yeley and wife Jessica; daughter; Julia Mitchell and husband Nathan; four granddaughters; Katelyn and Alexis Yeley, Natalia and Aaliyah Mitchell all of Poplar Bluff. His mother Christine Cartrette and husband David; six brothers, Gus Yeley of Poplar Bluff, Leo Yeley of California, J.D. Yeley of Illinois, Rusty Cartrette of North Carolina; Jerry Wayne Cartrette of Potosi, MO and Henrietta Voigt of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents/grandparents Huie and Archie Yeley.
