Hazel Martha Gatlin

Hazel Martha Gatlin,  80, of Neelyville, Missouri passed away January 27, 2012 at the Westwood Hills Health-care Center of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  He was born July 22, 1931 at Bernie , Missouri to the late Albert Carr and Mae Barnes Carr.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Townsend of Corning, Arkansas one grandson Mike Townsend Corning, Arkansas and two Grand granddaughters, Sophia Beth Townsend and Gracie Faith Townsend.

Services for Hazel were Sunday February 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel at Neelyville, Missouri with Rev. Ron Daughtetee officiation. with burial in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Glenda Caroline Latham

Glenda Caroline Latham, 60 of Naylor, Missouri passed away  January 23, 2012 at her residence in Naylor, Missouri. She was born May 21, 1951  at Naylor, Missouri to Elmer Evans and the late Della Feasel Evans.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed yard work, the outdoors, flowers doing family history and her cats and helping people.

On February 23, 1081 in Victoria, Texas she was married to Walter Latham. He survives.

Also surviving, are Two Children, Sammy Gail Hodge of Naylor, Missouri and Tammy Jean Latham of Kansas City, Missouri. One sister, Linda Gail Evans Tisdal and husband Buel of Naylor, Missouri. Three brothers, Jerry Lynn Evans of Naylor, Missouri, Johnny Lee Evans of Naylor, Missouri Jeffery Allen Evans of Doniphan, Missouri. Grandchildren, Laura Ann Hodge Asher of Oxly, Missouri.  Troy Von Hodge of Naylor, Missouri and great grandchild, Catelynn Mae Asher Oxly, Missouri.

Visitation for Glenda will be Friday January 27, 2012  in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel starting at 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.  in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Missouri.  With burial in the Evans Family Cemetery in Naylor, Missouri.  Pastor Jim Hoyt officiating.

Henry A Newton Williams

Henry A. Newton Williams,  74 of Success, Arkansas, passed away January 21, 2012  in the St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born March 8, 1939  at Denmark, Arkansas to the late Salis Crockett Williams and Delia “Love” Williams.  He had worked as a landscaper. and enjoyed raising and being with his dog.

Henry is survived by;  Four children Bobby Williams of Houston, Texas, Leland Williams of Houston, Texas, Angie Crook of Coshocton, Ohio and Jeff Williams also of Coshocton, Ohio. Two Sisters, Rose Hill of Cabot, Arkansas and Vida Williams of Springfield, Missouri and three Brothers, Crockett Williams of Corning Arkansas , Ed Williams of Newport, Arkansas and Walter Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas. Also six Grand Children survive.  At this time there is no services scheduled. Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Missouri is in charge of arrangements

Willie “Bill ” Shipman

Willie Arthur “Bill” Shipman, of Poplar Bluff passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 at the age of 86.

Mr. Shipman was born May 18, 1925, at Morehouse, Mo. to parents Willie Shipman and Mary (McDowell) Shipman.  Both preceded him in death.  He was a lifetime resident of Butler County and a member of Faith Tabernacle in Poplar Bluff.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during WWII.

 He retired from Ross Electric and enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and going to church. 

On Jan. 19, 1957, he was married to Betty Lou (Miller) Shipman in Pocahontas, Ark.  She survives.

 Also surviving are his children, Steve Shipman, Danny Shipman and wife, Margie,  Billy Shipman, Timothy Shipman, Teresa and husband, Thomas Victery, Barbara and husband Larry Beebe, all of Poplar Bluff, Rosalee Meadows of Chicago, Ill., Sharon Berg and husband, Greg, of Gresham, Ore.; 14 grandchildren, Tracy and husband, Anthony Swan, Stehpanie Shipman, Brandon McNeil, Danielle Shipman, Joshua Shipman and wife, Amanda, Craig Shipman, Nikki Shipman, Adam Shipman, Timothy Shipman, Kristal King, Cristy Victery, Thomas Victery, Teddy Duncan, Enoch Griffith and Tiffany; and 13 great-grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mary Shipman; two children, Wanda Shipman and Bruce Shipman; two sisters, Iva Jameson and Lucille Rimel; and two brothers, Jack Carl McDowell and Alvin McDowell.

 Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 at  Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.  The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Tharp officiating.  Burial in the Mo. Veterans Cemetery, Bloomfield, Mo., with full Military Honors.
