Adelia Clayton

Adelia Clayton, age 92, passed away Wednesday November 28, 2012 at the Westwood Hills Healthcare in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Ms. Clayton was born December 6, 1919 at Naylor, Mo.  She had lived most of her life in Butler County.  She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ellen White, Anna Ruth Leek, Jerri Cook, Elaine Jenkins, Jean Drake and John and Marcell Mesclier.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Martin Hribar and Mary (Yock) Hribar; four sisters, Donna Jackson, Rosa Dunlap, Betty Mesclier, and Fannie Osojnicki; two brothers, Joe Hribar and Martin Hribar.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

 Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

“Laddie” Bradley

Stanley Wallace “Laddie” Bradley, age 82, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Tuesday November 27, 2012 at his residence. 

Mr. Bradley was born April 2, 1930, in Poplar Bluff, to the late Harry Gilbert  and Lydia (Leach) Bradley.  He was a life time resident of Butler County.  

He retired as a construction worker and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict as a senior aircraft mechanic.  He was of  the Baptist faith. 

Mr. Bradley loved being with his family and loved working on airplanes. 

On July 15, 1952 he  married Mary (Ruble) Bradley. She survives.

Also survivig are his sons, Mark Bradley and David Bradley and his wife Gina, all of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Anna K. Bradley of St. Louis, Mo. and Marie Austin of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Carl Bradley of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Amanda Tippen, Anthony Wayne Bradley and Jimmy Bradley; great-grandchildren, Alex Tippen, Marc Tippen, Mary Tippen, Pyeper Bradley and Justice Bradley.

Visitation at 6 p.m. Friday,  November 30, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo.  Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 in the chapel with Pastor Richard Ross officiating.  Burial with full Millitary Rites in the City Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Jimmy Carson

Jimmy Ray Carson, age 58, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away November 16, 2012 at Fort Collins Health Care Center. 

Mr. Carson was born June 28, 1954 in Pocahontas, Arkansas.  He enjoyed artwork and was of Pentecostal belief. 

He is survived by his mother, Mary Charlene (Counce) Carson; 2 sisters, Marcia Delawrence of Poplar Bluff, Cora Shanks and husband, Cliff of Kentucky; 2 brothers, Bobby Carson and wife, Sandy of Poplar Bluff and Tommy Carson of Poplar Bluff.

He was preceded in death by his father; James Woodrow Carson and a  sister, Nancy Deanna Carson. 

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 in the chapel with Ron Fowler and Donnie Fowler officiating.  Burial will be in Qulin Cemetery.

Opal Albertson

Opal Albertson, age 69, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. 

Mrs. Albertson was born December 21, 1942, at Qulin, Mo., to the late George William Woodall and Mary Marie (Robinson) Woodall.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.  A homemaker, she enjoyed crafts of many different types.

She was first married to Bob Rees.   He preceded her in death.   On May 14, 1992 she was  married to John Albertson, who survives.

Also surviving are her children, Rick McIver of Springfield, Mo. and Becky Troutt of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; step-children, Margie Shipman of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Mike Albertson of Michigan; two sisters, Ann Carr and Deborah Davis, both of Poplar Bluff; four brothers, Frank Woodall of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Fred Woodall of Vacaville, California, Tommy Woodall and John Woodall, both of Cape Girardeau, Mo.;  her grandchildren, Josh McIver and Maya McIver, both of  Springfield, Mo, Christal Painter, Dustin Mikel, Hailey Troutt, all of Poplar Bluff; her great-grandchildren, Timothy McIver, Justin McIver, Isabella McIver, Marley Mikel, Aubrey Mikel, Samantha Painter, and Alexander Painter.

Mrs. Albertson is preceded in death by her first husband Bob Rees; her parents, George  William and Mary Marie Woodall, and one step-son, David Albertson.

Visitation will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo.  Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in the chapel with Dennis Hanes and Adam Noles officiating.  Burial will be in Black River Cemetery, Williamsville, Mo.

Roy Eugene “Gene” McKinney, 76, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in Poplar Bluff. 

Mr. McKinney was born February 22, 1936 in Butler County, Mo.  Mr. McKinney was a lifelong resident of Butler County. He was retired from the Florshiem Shoe Factory where he worked as a supervisor. He enjoyed deer hunting and going to auctions.

In July 1997 he was  married to Wilma Dowd-McKinney in Corning, Arkansas.  She survives. He was previously married to Shirley Monday, who preceded him in death in 1993.

Also surviving are children; Richard McKinney, Terry McKinney, Tammy Hayes and husband Steve, and Randy McKinney; sisters; Pansey Jenkins and husband Bruce and Dorothy Garrett and husband John; brother; Norman McKinney; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Mr. McKinney was preceded in death by his parents; Henry McKinney and Anna Georgia McKinney

Visitation will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street. A graveside service will be held at 1 a.m. at HamTown Cemetery, with Rev. Ralph Mayes officiating.

Bobby Joe Hays, 76 of Doniphan passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  He was born October 5, 1936 in Port Byron, IL.

He was a port engineer on a riverboat.  His hobbies included; boating, fishing, working on his truck, working in his yard, and traveling.  He was a member of VFW and served in  the US Navy on the USS Bigelow and Shenendoah from 1955-1959, during the Korean Conflict. 

Mr. Hays is survived by one sister, Verna Roebuck of Poplar Bluff; nieces, Julie Epps and husband Glenn of Poplar Bluff,  Chris Guerrero and husband John of Jackson, MO;  nephews Col. Glenn Hillis II(Washington, DC) and David Roebuck and wife Cindy of Orlando, FL; great niece: Caroline Hillis of Maryland; great nephews; Glenn Epps III and wife Bridget of Puxico, MO, Aaron Epps and wife Ashley of Poplar Bluff, and Adam Epps and wife Gabrielle of Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Hays was preceded in death by his parents; Samuel Hays and Irene Leonard-Hays and four brothers; John Hays ( served in the Navy), Vearl Hays (served in the Navy), Harold Hays (served in the Army) and Darold Hays (served in the Army)

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Corning City Cemetery.  Full military honors will be performed.  Rev. Jerry Lemons of Southside Assembly of God Church will be officiating.

Karen Sue Lacy

Karen Sue Lacy , age 49, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday November 10, 2012 at The Manor, in Poplar Bluff. 

Ms. Lacy was born April 1, 1963 in Harrisburg, Arkansas.  She previously had worked as a restraunt manager. She enjoyed shopping, growing roses and sewing.  She was of the General Baptist faith. 

She is survived by her brother, Perry Lacy of California and lots of cousins and one niece, Angie.  Ms. Lacy is preceded in death by her parents, William Perry Lacy and Lenor Helen (Souza) Lacy and one daughter, Mary Helen Lacy.

Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.  Ron Fowler will officiate.

Charlie Wayne Muller

Charlie Wayne Muller, age 16, of Fisk, Mo. passed away Saturday November 3, 2012. 

He was born December 12,  1995, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was a lifetime resident of Butler County and was a Junior at  Twin Rivers High School.  He enjoyed mechanic work, working with tools and loved doing art.  He was of the Baptist faith. 

He is survived by his parents Fred Muller and Betty Bradshaw, both of Fisk, Mo.; his birth parents Charles Morlan and Jennifer Dudley; grandparents, Evelyn Melton of Fisk and Margaret Little of Poplar Bluff;  four sisters, Megan Tavera of Michigan, Rebecca German of Poplar Bluff, Sheyenne Wessles of Fisk, and Angel Seipp of Jackson, Mo., three brothers, Michael Morlan of Michigan, David Berry of Poplar Bluff and James Bo Muller of Fisk, and Christopher Morlan.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo.  A graveside service will follow at  11:15 a.m. in the Black Creek Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Jerry Moss

Jerry Markham Moss, age 70, of Piedmont, Mo., passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Clark’s Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont, Mo.

Mr. Moss was born November 2, 1942 to the late Clarence Otto Moss and Sara Kathryn (Markham) Moss in Mill Spring, Mo.

He lived in Wayne County for 55 years and worked as a car salesman.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. 

On October 4, 1975 he was married to Barbara (Buss) Moss in Laurel, Nebraska.  She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Tonya Zielich of Lawton, Ia, Stacey Ocander of Omaha, Ne., Mark Moss of Ankeny, Iowa, Kenneth Moss of Mill Spring, Mo., Rachelle Moss of Ellsinore, Mo.,  and Matthew Moss of Mill Spring, Mo.; two sisters, Mary McDonald of St. Peters, Mo., and Shirley Wright of Rolla, Mo.; three brothers, Ronald Moss of Afton, Mo., Eugene Moss and Bernie Moss both of Mill Spring, Mo.;  nine grandchildren, Lacey Eddy, Karli Zielich, Riley Moss, Alyssa Moss, Nolan Ocander, Sierra Zieler, Leah Zieler, Callei Moss,  Blaine Moss; one great-grandchild, Liam Eddy.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, William Moss, Jack Moss, Wayne Moss and twin brothers, Harold and Gerald Moss.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo.  Funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012  in the chapel, with Pastor Jerry Mattson officiating.  Burial in Carson Hill Cemetery, Mill Spring, Missouri.

Rickie Alan Tipton,  age 63, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Friday, November 2, 2012, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. 

Mr. Tipton was born August 16, 1949 in Poplar Bluff.  He attended New Home General Baptist Church and was a Mason.  He served in the United States Navy. 

He had retired as a  journeyman lineman from Municipal Utilities in Poplar Bluff.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gun shows, auctions and the sale barn. 

On August 31, 2012, he married Kerry Kim (Cato) Tipton in Poplar Bluff.  She survives.  He previously was married to  Barbara Sue (Bilderback) Casteel, the mother of his children.  She also survives.

Also surviving are his children, Michelle Tipton-Antonio and husband, Julio of Poplar Bluff, and Todd Tipton of Poplar Bluff; his step children,  Heath Willis and wife, Kellie of Dexter, and Jodi Willis of Neelyville; his mother, Norma Lee Tipton of Wappapello; a sister, LeeAnn Brannum and husband, Johnny of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Russell Lynn Tipton and wife, Sue Ann of Wappapello;  his grandchildren, Alexis Tipton and Rylee Tipton of Poplar Bluff; step grandchildren, Emma Willis and Havyn Willis-King of Neelyville and Keira Willis and Ethan Willis of Dexter.  He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; his sister-in-laws, Luana (Tom)Meitz of Kirkwood, Mo., Claudia (Jerry) Dawson of Harviell, Barbara (Gary) Cochran of Arnold, Vicki (Jerry)Armes of Harviell, and Gloria (Dannie) Daugherty of Poplar Bluff; a brother-in-law; Ted (Joyce) Croy of High Ridge, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hardin Lynn Tipton, on June 14, 2011.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday Nov.5, 2012, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar St. ,Poplar Bluff, Mo. The funeral service will follow at  7 p.m., in the chapel, with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating.
