Amanda Clements

Amanda Kathleen Clements, 33, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

She was born February 27, 1982 in Wilmington, Delaware.  She enjoyed coloring, crossword puzzles, arts and crafts. She was of the Methodist belief.

She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Rose Kortis-Clements; her father, C. Curtis Clements and step-mother, Bonnie Clements; brother, Brian C. Clements (Carrie); grandmother, Virginia R. Clements; her Aunt, Colleen Kashif (Mohammed); and one niece.

Her mother, Sandra (Martin) Clements preceded her in death.

A memorial will be held at a later date.

Chloe Brooks

Saturday, March 21st, 2015

Chloe Faith Brooks, 4 months, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away March 15, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born November 14, 1014 in Corning, Arkansas to Jeremy Brooks and Victoria (Cortez) Brooks.

She is survived by her parents, and Grandparents, Linda Wheeler and Step-grandfather Brad, Yvonne and Harold Dailey and Jim Cortez.

She is preceded in death by one grandfather, David Brooks.

Visitation will be Monday March 23, 2015 starting at 1 pm with the funeral at 2:00 pm in the Fowler- Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Tull Family Cemetery.

Crocket Leon Hudson

Crocket Leon Hudson, 73 of Naylor, Mo. passed away March 18, 2015 in the St Louis University Hospital at St. Louis, Missouri. He was born December 20, 1941 Ripley County, Missouri to Robert Hudson and Marcella Russell Morgan.

Leon was married on October 6, 1995 in Butler County, Missouri to Leona (Lee) Pulliam. She survives.

Leon is survived by his children, Travis Pulliam of Naylor, Mo.,  Angela Anderson Of Oxly, Missouri, Terri Kelley of Stansberry, Missouri, Scott Hudson of Maynard, Arkansas, and Louis Spangler of Warrenton, Missouri. He is also survived by two sisters, Brenda Taylor and husband Kenny of Russellville, Ky, and Mae Snelson and her fiancé Euell Hatley of Doniphan, Mo., Four brothers, Robert Hudson and wife Joyce of Cedar Hill, Mo. Ronnie Hudson of Pocahontas, Arkansas, John Hudson and wife Kay of Doniphan, Mo and Carl McMurtry and wife Lynn of St.Charles, Mo.. eight grandchildren and  eight great-great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents,   brothers, Dennis Hudson, William McMurtry and Stanley Hudson.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing horse shoes. Leon was a associate member of American Legion at Naylor.

Visitation for Leon will be Saturday March 21, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Mo. with funeral following at 2:00 pm at funeral home. Burial will be in the Hitt Cemetery near Success, Ark. following service. Donnie Fowler officiating

Marion Winters

Marion L. Winters, 78, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away March 20, 2015 at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center.  He was born October 1, 1936 to Dewey and Edna (Murdock) Winters.

He was joined in marriage to Frances E. Cross on March 3, 1962. Marion was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, teacher and Sunday School Superintendent.  He served in the US Army as a radio operator, stationed in Germany.  After his tour of duty was complete, he worked as a machinist for McDonnell-Douglas of St. Louis, until returning to Poplar Bluff to take a job with the US Post Office.  He retired from the Post Office in 1996 to enjoy traveling, bible study, researching family genealogy, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his spouse; two daughters, Diana Sherrill (Kenny) of Rolla, and Janice Winters of Poplar Bluff; one son Roger Winters (Amy) of Columbia; six grandchildren, Matthew Sherrill (Amanda), Grace Sherrill, Ben Winters, Aaron Winters, Hannah Winters, and Emma Winters; one great- grandson, Jacob Sherrill; four sisters, Mary Helen Hargrove of Memphis, TN, Betty Richardson (Bob) of Dallas, TX, Peggy Sinden (Bill) of Ballwin, Barbara Sue Winters of St. Louis; one brother, Robert Winters (Barbara) of Port Angeles, Washington; sisters-in-law Barbara Winters of Poplar Bluff, Dean (Ray) Lumpkin of Poplar Bluff, Carol Cross of Fisk,  Sue Terrance of Poplar Bluff, and Helen Cross of Poplar Bluff, and brother-in-law George Cross of Fisk.

Preceding him in death are his parents; a brother, Dewey George Winters; a grandson, Caleb Winters; a brother-in-law, Otto Hargrove; a sister-in-law, Shirley Summers; father-in-law, Grover Cross and mother-in-law, Mae (Robinson) Cross.

Visitation will be held from 5- 7 p.m.  Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.  A graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Mo. State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo. with full military rites.  Bro. Matt Johnson will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to: Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1600 South 11th St. Poplar Bluff, Mo.  63901 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd. St. Louis, Mo.  63132.

Alyssa Kay Dawn Mitchell

Alyssa Kay Dawn Mitchell, 4, of  Naylor, Missouri, passed away March 18, 2015 near Naylor. Alyssa was born October 26, 2010 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri  to Danny Mitchell and Christy Beaty Mitchell. They survive.

Also surviving are three brothers, Ricky Mitchell, Ryan Mitchell, and Decklan Mitchell, all of Naylor, Missouri; her grandparents, Christy Fletcher and step-grandfather, Jim, Tom Mitchell and step-grandmother, Gail, David Beaty and Step-grandmother, Judy and Brenda Beaty; one great aunt, Ronda Patton and one aunt, Shannon Canon and husband, Chuck; two cousins, Payten and Jordan; two step-cousins, Luke and Chad Cannon; her special friends, Brenda and Mark Boswell, Barbara Portwood, Kenny and Debbie Hurt and Bill and Loretta Fisher; Allyssa’s best friend, Bella Fisher and numerous friends.

Alyssa was a member of the New Life Pentecostal Church of Doniphan.  She enjoyed playing Barbie Dolls, and the movie Frozen and coloring.

Visitation wlll be 6 till 9 pm Saturday, March 21, 2015 in the New Life Pentecostal Church with the funeral Sunday at 2 pm in the church. Burial will be in the Amity Cemetery with Rev.  Harold Sheppard officiating.

The Church is located at the corner of Brooks Lane and 160 Highway.

David Mosher

David Michael Mosher, 55, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at his home.

He was born February 15, 1960 in Peoria, Ill. to the late Earl Douglas and Ida Louise (Fisher) Mosher.  He was an apprentice Coremaker and amateur gunsmith.

He married Robin Mosher on June 27, 1978 in Peoria, Ill.  She survives.

He is also survived by his children, Robert Earl Joseph Mosher, Kyle Jeremy Mosher and Dana Michelle Mosher; a sister, Judith Pullium, his five grandchildren, Gretchen, Andrew, Benjamin, Nolan and Norah.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Earl Mosher.

Visitation will begin at 12 (noon) Friday March 20, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ken Johnson officiating.

David Winfree Jr.

David Winfree Jr., 46, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Saint Frances Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born September 3, 1968 in St. Louis County.  He was employed at MoArk Provisions.  He enjoyed NASCAR racing, and NASCAR memorabilia, wrestling and animals.

He is survived by his parents, David Ray Winfree Sr. and Audrey (Platt) Winfree  and daughter, Lauren and son, Cody Clark as well as his sister, Debbie Russom and two brothers, Danny Winfree and Brian Winfree and a special aunt, Toni.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 followed by the funeral service at the New Home General Baptist Church, 1864 Hwy AA, Poplar Bluff, Mo. with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating.

Ruby Virginia Ferraresi

Ruby Virginia Ferraresi, 78, life long resident of Qulin, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Ferraresi was born November 15, 1936 in Tennessee. She had worked for Wal-Mart.

On April 24, 1955  she married Carl Lee Ferraresi.  He passed away December 21, 2004.

She is survived by her children, Vicki Mitchell, Robin Lum, Randall Ferraresi, Curtis Ferraresi and Carla Williams; grandchildren, Misty Longhibler, Dustin Gaultney, Kaleigh Griffin,  and Tiffany Seegrist, Curtis L. Ferraresi, Jenny Ferraresi, DeAndrea Ferraresi, Brandy Gulledge, Nicole Jobson and Krissi Williams; as well as 19 great-grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ivy and Grace Baxter and one grandson, Wesley Ferraresi.

No services are planned.

Edwin Wheat

Edwin Floyd Wheat, 69, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his home.

Mr. Wheat was born November 6, 1945 in St. Louis, Mo.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Elks for 20 plus years.  He was an industrial salesman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and antique coins.

On November 6, 1986 he married Shirley Wheat in Poplar Bluff.  She survives

Also surviving is one son, Eric Wheat and wife, Christine; one stepson, Guy Tower and stepdaughter, Pam Shulse and husband, Gene; five grandchildren, Matthew and Gabrielle Wheat, Laura Squires, Tyler Shulse and Johnathan Tower; as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Luke and Maxwell Squires.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Allen Wheat and Lucille (Crider) Wheat; two sisters, Doris Wilson-Treece and Louise (Snooter) Barber; and one brother, Harry Leonard Wheat.

Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff with the funeral beginning at 3 p.m.  Bill Wheat will officiate. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with full military rites.

Jessica Moore

Jessica Leigh Moore, 37, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Jessica was born November 24, 1977 in Poplar Bluff.  She was a 1996 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School. She enjoyed fishing, animals, camping and the outdoors in general.  She attended Old Oak Hill and Mt. Calvary Church and was recently saved and baptized.

On December 7, 2011 she married David Moore in Poplar Bluff.  He survives.

Other survivors include her sons, Trevor Wagner and Bryce Wagner and step-sons, Tyler Moore and Devin Moore; her mother, Angela Pigg and step-father, David Pigg as well as her father, George Roland Jr. and grandfather, Vernon Bagwell.

She was preceded in death by her special grandmother, Randy Ruth Bagwell (Desich) and grandparents, Joyce Roland and George Roland Sr.

Jessica struggled with her illness until she claimed her victory March 5, 2015.  God called His child home.  She leaves her heart here with her husband, children and mother.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m., officiated by  Melburn Deaton. She will be laid to rest in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
